Tamashii Nation 2021 is being held online this year and there will be a live TIGER & BUNNY 2 section, which is being hosted by series’ character designer, Masakazu Katsura! The stream for the panel is on Sunday 21st November at 18:00 Japan time and can be watched at the following link:
But before the panel has even been streamed, they have already revealed a couple new merchandise!
Kotetsu and Barnaby Figuarts Mini figures
The not yet revealed wrist devices that Kotetsu and Barnaby will be wearing during T&B2. Tentatively called “PROPLICA Storage Bangles” over on the English version of the website.
And new S.H. Figuarts Style 3 figures!

The stream happened on Sunday which featured series' character designer, Masakazu Katsura!
He spoke a little about his process for designing the new Hero Suits that Kotetsu and Barnaby will be gearing into for T&B2 (known as Style 3). The changes are subtle, but he wanted to make the suits a little more slicker, have more of an emphasis on the natural shape of muscles and have the suits appear more humanoid looking. He went through at least 50 drafts.
The prototype versions of the new S.H. Figuarts were shown off, where they showed off some in depth diagrams of the models to reflect the slight adjustments. There is a silhouette of Barnaby's suit from The Rising and the new suit, which shows the reduction in size.
Katsura was asked as to why he decided to add a mouth to Barnaby’s helmet which he replied “Barnaby was released from the trauma of his past and was able to meet a good buddy and regain his humanity. The previous design was a cold-hearted character who seemed to have lost his mind, so I put a mouth on the character this time, hoping to bring out his emotions.”
The new wrist devices were referred to as "Storage Bangles", which two of the hosts were wearing (notably, the slightly older host with the beard wore Kotetsu's version, whilst the younger presenter wore Barnaby's version).
It was not explained how they will be used in the upcoming season. Katsura mentioned that he designed them as apart of his initial drafts for Kotetsu and Barnaby's outfits and they actually weren't apart of the original scenario, but the staff decided to include them. How they will be used is still a mystery!
Lastly there was a brief look at the upcoming Figuarts Mini figures of Kotetsu and Barnaby!
