happy valentine's day!

... well, happy EARLY valentine's day! it's time for another charpim event, once again held by myself, lux @strangehearted, and helix @aperihelios! guidelines for the event are much the same!:

Open SF Christmas Event

Good morning everyone! After talking to @neonnghost yesterday unfortunately we both have come down with burn out :( That doesnt mean the 25 days of smoking friends Christmas event is over because now it's open to the public! Everyone is welcome to participate with art or writing of anyone in the cast! I'll still draw something for the last day and we'll be reblogging all the entries to share the Christmas fun! Charpim Week - Day 6

Charlie can be a little bit dumb in his decision making sometimes. Luckily for him, Pim is such a loving and forgiving fella that he is willing to let the crime of his boyfriend eating the last pizza slices without Pim knowing slide.

🎀 Charpim Week - Day 5 ⭐️

Going out as a couple for the first few days after being best friends for so long feels strange yet exciting for the new pair. As the two walk down the street holding hands, they start to think about their own feelings regarding their new found relationship. 💖

💜 Charpim Week - Day 3 🔶

“Something’s gotta change, brother.”

Charlie isn’t usually the type to fully open up about his inner thoughts and feelings. Pim is aware of that. However, in order to truly improve on himself and change for the better, Charlie has to learn that it’s okay to let the ones who love him be there next to him. To comfort him, hold his hand, and see the tears roll down his face.

🌸 Charpim Week - Day 2 🌻

“Life is full of wonderful joys and pleasures”

It’s rare for this incredibly iconic duo to have moments of relaxation and quiet, but when they do, it helps remind Pim about how beautiful life can be and it makes Charlie think about how he feels about both his own life and the cause of happiness that’s been placed in his heart and on his head.

💖 Charpim Week - Day 1 💛

“We smiled. And that’s how it all started.”

Drew my own take on how these two met for the first time! I can see Charlie being insecure about himself and how his life is going at first but gets a job at a charity to help people smile.

Wouldn’t hurt working there for a couple of months.

Meeting Pim Pimling and seeing his genuine optimism and excitement at getting to know a new co-worker made Charlie feel appreciated and a little flustered.

He couldn’t quite explain it but Charlie could feel a connection the moment he shook Pim’s hand for the first time.

12th of October: Free day!
For the last prompt of @charpimweek, I want to show the world the plushies I made! Those aren't finished yet, and Pim still waits for the black shoes, but I worked on those a lot and I love them so much
They are fully articulated, can open and close mouths, and Pim can move his eyes freely; his nerve ending antenna is also poseable!

11th of October: "This is the end. I love you" This drawing is based on "triassic cuddle" fossil... Yeah I've decided to go full angst For those who didn't know, triassic cuddle is a strange fossil containing remains of two animals: thrinaxodon (a proto-mammal) and broomistega (an amphibian), cuddled together, probably sharing the same den though the two species are thought to be in predator/prey situation. It is generally thought that the amphibian went into the burrow where a thrixanodon already slept, as the broomistega was injured and seeked shelter. Then, they were buried alive by something covering the den, and thus fossilized together. Here's how it looks:

I tried to figure out their patterns without straying too far from what animals might look. (Broomistegas aren't drawn with a tail fin usually, I drew Pim with one only because he's a special case (same with huge eye))

A day late for yet another thing! This time for @charpimweek. The last day was yesterday, the prompt being either a “Free Day” or “Pink and Yellow.” Guess which one I picked!

Alas, my beloved Smiley Guys hath taken a backseat to my current all-consuming hyperfixation. Poor, neglected babies. Papa needs to spend some much-needed quality time with y’all 😢
