Hereโs my contest entry for @chibicmps Matching Outfit contest for their OCโs Sam Lucitor and Luna Butterfly! You can check out more information here. ^^ I wanted to do something unique and since Iโve gotten pretty obsessed with ancient Chinese history and wuxia shows/novels and hanfus (specifically right now Mo Dao Zu Shi and The Untamed), I gave Sam and Luna modernized hanfus! Why modernized? Because most couplesโ hanfu often look exactly the same with minor differences, but I wanted the differences to be clearer here yet still obvious, so I made the skirt for Luna shorter and gave Sam big, baggy pants. Luna also has a jacket as well but itโs draped in such a way it resembles the silk scarves often painted in ancient China on heavenly maidens (or whatever you call them โcause I canโt seem to find any specific name for the scarves asjakfl). I got inspiration from hanfu such as these ones: example 1, example 2, and example 3. ย ย

Why I am curious to see where your upcoming comic "Reclaimed", if I had to give you my creative advice, I would ignore the events of "Cleaved", maybe even change some of the other plot points of season 4. Like making Chloe just a friend (and member of Jackie's surf team) so you can have Tomkie without breaking up Chlokie. Just giving you my Ten-Cents Chibi, I'll respect any decision you make. Can't wait for more Reclaimed and looking forward to Mewberty Part 2. Also, where is Sam's highlight????
