Wanted to post this wonderful commission by @lambstooth of Ambroys having a grand old time practicing his golf swing~~!
Me, seeing that last post: Ambroys but he's in American Psycho
I had the same thought some years back and drew just that:
Ooh I should post these commissions of my rat boy as well! Also by @lambstooth! Two very different AUs of him, neither of which should be allowed in a morgue.
what a pleasure to randomly stumble across your work. right up my alley & so inspirational in how you apply texture and light. i think i found you at the perfect time - we might be writing stories of a similar color (about aliens and brains, though thats where the similarities end), and your passion & integrity comes through so clearly in everything I've seen of yours!!! easiest follow I've ever hit. all the best!!!
+ a bonus picture of my son for the road:
Oh what a lovely little lad! I adore his bow tie. Thank you for the complement! If you have some example work for your project, feel free to dm me and talk about it! I've noticed my grey matters work has been getting fairly popular on my page and I don't believe people know it's part of an anthology. I'll probably need to make a big post about it at some point! There are 30+ characters in the series and I've been chipping away at all their concept drawings over the last six years. I need to update old references and redesign characters too... a lot of work! I have fun though. My insanity over these characters has also made it so I have written up documents for the various species individual cultures, curated playlists for each character, and have multiple conlangs I'm แตแตแตแตแตแตแตแถฆโฟแต to develop. Current concepts for a portion of the cast!:
I feel like people are missing the Very Important reference picture and thatโs just criminal. Clearly if you look at the dog that inspired the piece, you would understand the inherent validity of the votersโ choice.
Thank you for that addition but I assure you we all already understood the the validity of the voters choice
The ultimate goal is for all people to make enough, not just to live, but to thrive. And for people to be additionally, but not exorbinately, compensated for doing difficult jobs, jobs that require intense training, and jobs that are undesireable.
The heirarchy of jobs does nothing but perpetuate our oppression. There are people that take great satisfaction in the pursuit of hard degrees and specialized work - like engineering, medical, niche crafts - and likewise there are people that take satisfaction from rote and/or repetitious jobs, customer service jobs - packing boxes, flipping burgers, answering phones.
All work that needs doing deserves compensation. In a genuine ideal world, all people would be doing work that gives them satisfaction, not that rewards based on whether a jobs is prestigious or not.
