Yes, actually! Mainly the latter, as Chip gets very stubborn and pissy (even more so) when sick.

Injuries/repairs on the other hand... it took a lot for him to trust Perry to do that. Especially when ey have no idea how Suits worked. Even during times when ey would ask if ey could help tidy up after a scuffle, he didn't want to even think about Toons.

It wouldn't be until much later on, once they firmly trusted one another that Chip would actually let Perry do repairs on him. Unscrew his bulbs, have him lie on his front, and open the sizeable maintenance panel on his back.

The first couple times, it was probably very minor things, like cleaning out dust or greasing up a couple worn joints. Of course Perry would constantly fuss and check in to make sure Chip was okay. Lots of "Are you alright?", "I'm doing this, is that okay?", "Do you need to stop?". Chip probably has told em how to do stuff to him directly, or passed along manuals for em to read.

...Even when Perry gets better at it, ey still constantly check in to make sure Chip's okay during it all- making sure he still feels in control of what's going on (because Cog knows he needs that reassurement). Ey'll never be as good as, say, the actual maintenance team. But in a way, Chip feels better emotionally getting repaired by em, knowing ey're actively seeking to make sure he's alright during it all. With the maintenance crew, they just make sure he works and that's it.

...It's nice. Not perfect, but nice.
