The episode 'Headstones' of Jack Taylor hurt. Season 3 literally built up and crashed Jack's love interest as if the build-up through the seasons didn't matter.

He was weak, he was vulnerable, and he was ready to settle down. A man whose life revolved around a constant need to be of use and get justice for people. Was willing to let someone in and get close after everything that happened in the past. After everything that was going on in her life and his.

Jack wanted to be with someone at their weakest while he tried to build his life back up from all the loses he had suffered from the last three seasons!

The fact they literally hit us with that episode and then shifted into those two people being jealous and uncertain of themselves in the last episode.

It's interesting Dr. Isaacs replaced William Birkin in the Resident Evil franchise instead of just recasting Birkin as Iain Glen they decided to name him J. Isaacs after Jason Isaacs who plays Birkin for like one scene.
