Usually when Danny found blood on his roof, it was from a pigeon. The dumb things got hurt all of the time in all sorts of ridiculous ways. So much so that Danny had finally just built a small coop for rehabilitation on his roof. And then he’d added another coop to it when there started being birds that wouldn’t have managed to survive in the city any longer if he released them. It was a hobby, at least.

Lois was the first parent home; it was her turn to pick Jon up from school. As soon as Kon heard the door unlock he sent her a text to not call up, Danny was asleep. He was a little surprised to see her poke her head in the door about ten minutes later.

“Poor thing doesn't look so good,” she said with a worried little frown as she took in the sight.

I usually leave people to HC their own thoughts about Dani/Ellie! For some people she a huge part of the fandom due to fanon influence, but as someone who watched the show when it aired and didn't get into the fandom until I started reading dp x dc she has about as much fandom impact on me as fanon Wes. Basically, I can see why she can/could be very interesting to explore, but she’s not actually a canon main character. I can only think of two potential fics of mine she'll play an actual roll in, one being Cosmas' story where she is an adoring jet setting wine aunt.

Anyways, migraine rambling aside, just like everyone else, the wish would have filled in something for Ellie. Whether that means she ended up in the ghost zone or she's lived her life in some foreign country adopted or was acting as a superhero somewhere, I leave the viewer to pick their favorite!

*edit: ah just to be clear, I leave it to people to choose their own hc to choose one they like with her since they may deeply enjoy her as a character!

Awww thank you! I am... obviously a fan of nicknames also! I am particularly proud of Dandelion. My first proper fic was full of them too, so I started strong I guess!

Sometimes, I wonder if I were to continue or expand on a fic, what people's choice would be. The mystery of "Cut Flowers"? The world behind "Batman's Husband"? Dick and Wally wooing Danny in "Not Exactly Cinderella"? PhanTOM Wyane settling into life post "Shadow of a Bat"?

For the first time since Kon had started bringing them for him, Danny wasn’t finishing his lunch. It was extra worrying because Danny hadn’t even touched the dried mango slices, which was one of his absolute favorite lunch time items. Kon hated himself a little for knowing that and noticing, but he did and had. He noticed a lot of little things about Danny.

I really wanted to do chibis again for birb title cards but gods I do not have the energy or ability atm to do so... ;-;

Chapter 2
