Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?

The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.

These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.

These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.

Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.

Omg.. okay I follow a bunch of channels that are made by people who do free cleaning for people in really dire hoarding/damaged house circumstances mostly older disabled people and the free cleanings are often recorded to show how to take care of extremely bad damage to houses yourself, anyway one of them recently had to put out a statement where she said the GREAT MAJORITY of requests for CHARITY CLEANING she gets was fucking LANDLORDS!!!!!! Particularly those that recently had someone move out and want free cleaning before marketing again. And she basically made a big statement politely stating she’ll never do a cleaning for a landlord and they need to stop asking. Ngl that’s some crazy composure if I was in her position I’d just come over and bulldoze the house

I still can’t get over this. Like these are emergency cleanings meant for disabled people in unlivable conditions and the purpose of recording it is to help people learn how to maintain or repair their own homes in bad circumstances. Can you imagine watching someone who regularly deals with biohazards for free and thinking “yeah it’s appropriate to request they clean the housing im holding hostage before I rent it again”

If you want to know what's up in Argentina:

Argentina has, historically, the right to public FREE quality university for all citizens and residents on its soil. This is considered a right and, although the system has its faults, it's considered the pillar of Argentina's middle professional class and a tool for upward mobility.

Last week, against HEAVY popular citizen support for the national public university system, Congress decided to support Javier Milei's veto that halts the public university's funding to inoperative levels.

Although the goverment and other friendly politicians assure this is about keeping numbers balanced, the money the Argentinian goverment gives to the system is less than 0,14% of the GDP. This is ideological. This is about less rights.

The President has claimed in interviews before and after his presidency that he considers free university "a degeneracy" and useless, although the Argentinian public university system has been lauded internationally (with high global rankings of UBA, Universidad de Cordoba, UNLP and Nobel prizes for its graduates) and is considered one of the tools for the working class's social mobility and the creation of Argentina's professional middle class.

The response to these measures that directly goes against the people's wishes have been instant.

There are now massive university takeovers all over the country, including very conservative areas and faculties with a population that refrains from these measures and have indeed voted for Milei's Libertarian party. Argentinian's Student Movement is historic, relentless and goes back to the 1916 Reform. It has coordinated and birthed several historical moments country-wise and was famously targeted by authoritarian regimes (like 1976's US-backed Military Dictatorship'a genocide and 1990s Neoliberalist Menem's policies).

The last two decades the movement has been disjointed, even fangless, but it seems Milei and the Congress's blatant corruption and disregard for what is considered a basic right has awakened a dormant beast.

Keep an eye on us, alright? Please.

RTVS PALESTINE FUNDRAISER 2, April 11th - 13th

Beginning Friday the 11th, RTVS will be holding another 3-day weekend fundraising event for the people of Palestine.

It is a tragedy that Palestine is still enduring the same nightmarish conditions that they were this time last year. There has been little to no improvement in things as Israel continues to break ceasefires and block incoming aid as they try and continue their genocide. We would like to once again rally our community and as many others as we can reach to give what support we are able to to Palestine's people.

Like last year, the event will not be a traditional stream fundraiser, rather than pointing people at one donation point, we will be suggesting a number of different recipients for support. However, this year may be organized slightly differently than the way we did it last time; more information regarding that will be shared in the next few days once we confirm our plan. Overall, it's the same idea: all donations to Palestinians and aid groups will be tallied into our grand total for the event.

The all-day, all-weekend streaming event will once again feature a rotation of hosts from Radio TV Solutions putting on all kinds of events. Themed segments, classic segments, crazy gameshow-type beats, chill segments, gaming w/ Da Whole Crew and MORE await you. The event will be hosted at http://stream.rtvsfundraiser.live/. very silly fancomic project i made in a sort of frenzied love inbetween work. I wanted to get back to something i loved as a kid since it's FF, so I was very inspired by the aesthetics and mannerisms of 90s doujinshi. Tried to follow that as far as I could, using g-pen and borrowing a tiny screentone from a friend, as well as making the cover in pale yellowish copics and ink. Only the text is digital... It's fun to get back to just creating goofy stuff with your hands, even if the result is very wonky. i didn't storyboard it or anything, so it just kinda goes with the flow. but i hope it's fun!
