this is like my most controversial black sails take. and i’m like not even in this fandom. but i do think the general tumblr portrayal of james flint is skewed and kind of misses the point of what his character is. he’s not like. the queer liberator. he wants to destroy england out of vengeance but he’s not like. opposed to the concepts and ideas of imperialism, he is only resentful he’s found himself on the wrong side of them. and i love that! he’s a great character. but i also see like. captain flint rainbow flag posts or whatever and i’m like… did u miss the part where he sells slaves…

ok i finished black sun by rebecca roanhorse. overall pretty good but 1) i would have liked if one of the main 4 POV characters was a Schemer. you all know i love a Schemer 2) kinda annoying to end it on a cliffhanger like that

maybe i will rewatch from dusk til dawn the series. is it good? no. but my god the Style…

i want to watch television… but i’m fresh out of television…
