I'm currently making a drive folder to share on my blog so everyone can download the movies i recommended in my retrospective. I'm having trouble finding a digital copy of Bye Bye Tiberiade (that i reviewed in this post) but i just realised it is fully available via arte tv!
It's in french here, in spanish here and in italian here. The first is on the arte website, the other two is on their youtube. I don't know how long it will remain available on youtube so if you don't watch it soon i strongly suggest you use a software such as 4k video downloader to keep it as a mp4 file.
It's a really beautiful, poetic and moving documentary about palestinian🇵🇸 women, from the point of view of a woman retracing the steps of her mother and grandmother. It was my favourite documentary of last year. If that sounds like your cup of tea, i hope you enjoy!

The Illinois male was visiting Florida. He planned ahead of time to go use the women’s restroom at the Florida State Legislative Building.
He was so committed to his plan that he wrote to every single Florida State Legislator ahead of time to tell them his plan. He included a picture of himself and told them he was sure they would find it in their hearts to allow him access to the women’s restroom.
So when he showed up, the police were waiting for him. They asked him to stay out of the women’s restroom. He went in anyway. The dude did all this and was actually surprised at his arrest.

I love how everyone seems to know “gender is a social construct” but constructed by whom and for what purpose is conveniently left in the dark or considered an unnecessary detail.
Since nobody likes saying it: it’s constructed by males with the explicit purpose of conferring themselves with power at the expense of female human beings. Less dominant males will be punished if they fail to contribute to or threaten masculine social power. All female human beings will be punished by default. It’s not hard.
They really got you to believe gender is your own little adventure and personal self-expression project instead of the brutal,hierarchal system of male dominance and female subjugation it's been for the past several thousands of years lmao

- the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
- taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
- at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
- 'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
- it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
- it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
- you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
- young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
- there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

This post has been blowing up. I wanted to use the opportunity to call attention to her YouTube channel. She interviews women who are on the ground doing grassroots work and research in women's rights. If you're interested in feminism in India or Asia, it's a really insightful source of information.

Two women victim of femicide in just two days here in Italy. As usual, Italian men celebrate. They are online writing the most heinous shit under the posts that talk about these women and the issue of femicide.
People will talk about teaching “affective education” in schools. We women don’t receive it either and yet we don’t go around killing the men that reject us. Anything but blaming men. Anything but recognising male supremacy.

“Educazione affettiva” sto cazzone. Questo è l’apice del problema strutturale e sistemico della supremazia maschile. Non c’è da insegnare niente agli uomini. Lo sanno già che uccidere e stuprare è sbagliato, infatti lo fanno solo con noi donne. Lo fanno lo stesso perché ci odiano e sanno che non riceveranno mai delle vere conseguenze perché sono loro ad avere il potere. Non ci vedono come degli esseri umani, siamo solo della roba per loro.
Nessuna quantità di ore a scuola di insegnamenti risolverà mai la situazione se possono accendere il telefono e masturbarsi sui video di donne trafficate, se ovunque sulla faccia della Terra siamo trattate come prodotto da mercato, come carne da macello.
Basta negare l’oppressione sistemica delle femmine. Sono tutti l’oppressore; non importa quanto bravi siano, sono comunque privilegiati rispetto a tutte noi. Solo la distruzione del sistema patriarcale risolverà la situazione, questa soltanto e nessun’altra cazzata.
