THIS IS A GENERAL NOTICE FOR DONATION BLOGS
I share and reblog group humanitarian aid organisations.
I don't currently reblog individual donation blogs and I CANNOT DONATE ANY MONEY OUTSIDE MY OWN COUNTRY. When I donate nowadays it is solely to all of the groups within my own country because I am BELOW THE POVERTY LINE and if I ever have anything to spare I want to help my own communities first. You are NOT the only people suffering in the world who come asking for help. I have to turn all of them down too, including Queer organisations which I am personally a demographic of, so it isn't a 'screw you for not being someone I relate to' either. I use my limited funds on my own communities if I can use them at all, which is already rare.
If you have a reputable group organisation working with you in a crisis zone, or a petition I can legally sign as someone outside the country, or some other activism movement within your country you want me to draw attention to, or anything else like that, then feel free to shoot that over to me and I'll reblog it.
STOP tagging me in individual donation posts and STOP yelling at me when I don't reblog. If you think I'm a terrible person who doesn't care, then a) what exactly do you think guilt tripping me is going to do? If I'm a terrible person who doesn't care then I'm not going to listen and that's a waste of your time you could be using asking someone who clearly just reblogs anything they're asked to. And b) use the block button. I'm serious. If I'm a terrible person who just doesn't care, then you definitely don't want me capable of interacting with you.
That goes for anyone who wants to decide something about me based on what and when I financially support or boost. If you want to put me on a shitlist, go ahead. Nothing will stop you if you think going after a random blog for personally still wanting to be careful is a productive use of your time as an activist instead of, you know, literally anything else that might actually help the people you insist you're fighting for. The internet loves to dogpile about shit like that because it makes people feel good about themselves and is way easier than actually doing anything more productive to help. If I were a politican that would make way more sense, but I'm not. I'm some random from Australia who needs to spend more time on my own country whenever I do more active activism and I just do what I can if other countries reach out for things like boosting group organisations or petitions or letters to people in power or whatever else.
