Very minor detail but I like how Illyana is depicted as accepting touching and being touched by the other New Mutants. She's a little irritated in the second example obviously, but not 30 issues ago she would have told Rahne to back off immediately if she did this. Obviously hugs from Kitty have always been accepted gladly, but I think this is one of the best nonverbal acknowledgements showing that she really does accept the NM as her people, at least to some extent.
Also, it's character growth for Rahne to do this too! Finally not so terrified of their 'demon sorceress' lol
