i can’t believe i actually got you for the @eah-exchange this year!! i was so excited to finally draw lina, as i never have before! i was immediately drawn to the idea of her and a nativity, given the presence of those in my life + the fact lina has catholic roots.

Claude deserves a little moral ambiguity. As a treat.
I wasn’t expecting much from this game’s story, but it’s incredible seeing stories tailored for each of the lords. I like seeing how each of them reacts to an accelerated timeline and lack of Byleth’s guidance, and how Claude (who arguably had it best post-timeskip) suffers for it.
Having lost his chance to find someone to trust in, confronted with the divided Leicester Alliance, and adding blood to his hands is fantastic to see Claude crack a little.

what if we never had that long and complicated history that leads us to continually justify each other’s actions. what if i never had any hand in your sculpting and now i’m left with the final, hardened figure you’ve since become. what if loving myself and loving you were suddenly two different things. there’s no overlap between you and me. then what. then i’d have to know you on purpose
