can anyone recommend some further reading for susan sontag’s ‘fascinating fascism’…? i have not really purposefully researched anything since college & i have no idea what other writing is in this same conversation about aesthetic attraction and cultural interest in fascism and questionable degrees of engagement with its historical framework…. im trying to prepare for the mcr tour

on the plane i envisioned a ‘single take’ music video for ‘you know what they do to guys like us in prison’ in which two men perform a choreographed dance that starts out somewhat fosse but quickly dissolves into whatever type of stuff the helena backup dancers are doing and then dissolves further into strugglesome erotic grappling while invisible cuts are used to change them from inmate uniforms into and out of various types of drag

the first (only) time i went to the club was with my cousin mike and we hadn’t connected in a while so right off the bat he asked me if im gay and i was like ive never dated anyone so i haven’t really figured that out in practice and he was like well let’s just start simple like celebrity crushes and i was like that’s complicated and started pulling up pictures of gerard way in the gucci skirt and the t strap work heels and the leather gloves and the pussy bow and the pantyhose. i don’t actually have a crush on gerard way but they were the closest example i could think of anyway he ruled that counts towards being into girls (gay) and proceeded to try to set me up with various women throughout the rest of the night. remembered this because of a thing i saw
