I do answer question, but if too many I may not. That's just the way I am. Lore questions I am trying to answer, but the Son of a diamond AU, so far doesn't have much to it. You do not miss out on much.
Son of a diamond's AU premes is simple: Greg is a Pink diamond in this AU. Around 60 or so years ago (Earth years), he escaped from homeworld to live on Earth as a free spirit. Bismuth and Peridot volunteered to go with him.
Upon arriving and adjusting Greg met human Rose and after falling in love with each other - they decided to try for a child.
Unfortunatelly Steven's gem started to form with his human body absorbing all nutriments from Rose, killing her in the end.
Greg has NO healing powers, since he had no need in them.
Both Greg and Steven has a gem. Steven's gem is a red diamond.
Steven's nickname is Kaiju (Because of the hoodie)
Steven was starting out as a normal child, but depression got the better of him when he got around 14. He had an "accident" involving his face and a knife, hiding his face.
He stopped talking to his school friends completely once he hit 15. It was a gradual fade away from their lives over a year. He is now completely lonely, talking mostly only to gems.
Rose's relatives blames Steven passively for her death making it much worse. Greg is a main villain for them, of course.
Yellow diamond is tasked to get Pink back, since his "vacation" is getting way too long.
Yellow is Coloniser\technology superviser
Pink is court distributer\biology researcher
Blue is law superviser\Head alchemyst
White is corrector and head of expedition's wing
I will add more, but in short the cast for now:
Greg - Pink diamond himself. Quite rebelious and driving his sisters mad. His own court is also problematic, due being quite unrily and unorderly. Loves his biology researches and music, HATES court duties and ranks management. Sees it as waste of time, as any gem burts out knowing what htye need to do. He just needs to assign them o a right diamond.
Steven - used to be a lively and fun loving kid, got to a state of depression due a lack of clear goal and "human" example in his life. Not to mention relatives being unintentionally degrading. They love him really... they would love him even more if Rose was alive. Love tailoring and alone time. World on Earth for him is just as weird as open space. He is smart and has good grades, but lacks social skills and general feel of "humanity". He feels anything but human.
At some point got so upset with his appearance and remindidng everyone of his mom - that he no longer wants to see his own face. "Accident" helped him find a reason to jide it ALL the time (Even in school)
Not bullied, but teased a lot about his origins. Nicknamed Kaiju for his hoodie appearance and durability.
Bismuth - The only level headed gem. Stayed with Greg, knowing her diamond is pretty much a Pebble with huge powers. Once Steven appeared in their life, had to "borrow" the book about kids and help Pink raise a kid. Thanks to her, they knew what to do with a child.
She is aware of Stevens problems and tries her best to help, but she can do only so much with his human problems. She hints Greg to get him a therapist, but he refuses, seeing humans as hurtfull towards his son.
Peridot - Unhinged pilot. She was EXTATIC to be chosen by Pink in his escape. She is very enthusiastic to serve, but even more in studying Earth. She was stuck in an outpost dying from boredrom, so escape was just what she needed.
She likes Steven, but doesn't quite understands him. he is quite and funky, so she just rolls with his oddities.
Correction formula: A special viscous liquid that turnes lesser or somewhat precious gems into Concrete. It is a punishment introduced by Blue diamond, after White started to slack on her duties, due extensive expeditions (And mental issues). Diamonds considered shattering a mercifull execusion, while being in a state of Concrete is a prolongued tortue.
Concretes: Gems with no wil or powers. Completely zombified. Can theoretically be turned back to normal, but never was. Because why would you return "criminals" back totheir original state.
