We got to enjoy a very pleasant vacation for our wedding anniversary/birthday combo the last several days. On a whim, we decided to do an art raffle to celebrate. There's the walk of shame, then there's the "commute of shame." I felt pretty damn sheepish coming back home that day after Ismaire heard a lot of crazy work stories from the place I temp at.

But man, living in the PNW is no joke. While it's certain that you'll make more money doing non-art jobs, it's still wild to me on what we have to do to exchange for some financial peace of mind. Oh, and not to mention, this job is wildly irrelevant to my college degree. However, when you learn how to be an entrepreneur and maintain your Microsoft Office skills from the 2000s, apparently that's good enough to be in HR for an international company.

In case anyone is wondering, $20/hour is hardly enough as part of a dual income if you want to keep one bedroom apartment with no roommates and no debt, plus three cats.

Rendering progress~ I've had a fun morning playing with Niffre's hair. A shot from when I started this morning and how far I got. Also included a shot of Claret's norigae that she wears on her belt.

I'm not a very fast painter yet, but I reckon I'll get quicker with practice and be able to churn out this entire story.
