And we learned from this video that because of a 1999 study, to this day, there's a black correction factor for the creatinin levels in black people's kidneys, meaning we're less likely to recieve a kidney transplant if needed.

So if you go to a doctor, feel you aren't getting proper treatment or they refuse the treatment you've requested, say to them the following:

I will need you to document on record that you are refusing the treatment (or medicine) I've requested, and the reason you are doing so."

Hi everyone! I hate doing this online but! I am in a financial situation that I cannot afford.

By the end of the month I need at LEAST $500-600 USD to pay all of my bills: Rent, Car Payment, Insurance, Dog Food, Vet Bills, etc.

hey all.. one of our house cats, Leo, has been getting progressively sicker over the last few weeks. last friday night (Dec. 18th 2020) while babysitting him, leo starting showing signs of a seizure (glossy eyes, heavy drooling, unresponsive) so we rushed him to the emergency vet. the vet diagnosed him with FIP, and had to hold him over the weekend in intensive care. the vet told us if we took him home, he wouldnt have lasted more than a few hours.

his owner has already been drowning in leos medical debt but wants to give leo a fighting chance. she got a hold of an experimental FIP drug, but its incredibly expensive. its an 84 day course of the drug, and the cheapest brand of it costs around 3,000$ total. she could afford about a weeks worth of it out of pocket, but its useless if leo doesnt get the full 84 days.

in some good news, he’s on day 2 of the medicine so far (Dec. 23rd 2020) and he has so much more energy already compared to the last couple weeks. before this, he spent the last week barely moving at all, breathing heavy, and didnt eat for a whole week. on 2 days of the medicine, he is up and moving again, breathing normal again, and starting to eat on his own again! we are all really hopeful right now.

his owner started a gofundme for leos medical costs to help them both get through this. if you have anything at all to spare please please consider donating. if not, please help by spreading this around like crazy to others and getting the word out. im also willing to do sketch busts for donations if that sweetens the pot for anyone, contact me about it! any little thing you can do means the world to both me and his owner. thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope you all have a wonderful day

help keep a black trans woman off the street

hey guys its aaliyah! a few days ago my land lord basically told me my female roommates aren’t comfortable sharing a room with me because I’m transgender??? they said tht me being transgender & having friends over (which wasnt detailed in the craigslist ad) is huge problem & I’m basically being given a month to leave. if you follow me on IG you know I’ve been trying to get a new job because my current one at starbucks hasnt been cutting it. they barely giving me any hours & because of that I’ve had to reduce my savings these past couple months from $400 to $100 just to get by. Good news is I found a new place in the area tht I can afford Bad news is its gonna be $900 to move ib (monthly $600 plus $300 deposit) if there is any way yall could spare a couple bucks each to help me get there I would more than appreciate it.
