i'm so happy the newer artem cards embrace artem's seriousness, rationality, and "clumsy" attempts at romance. rosa loves even the """"boring"""" parts of him because it's him. he's incredibly earnest and sincere in all he does and she loves him for it.
i remember, a few years back, i wrote about this being artem's main appeal... one that is showcased wonderfully in his y1 ssr, dreamful melodies:
so seeing the writers confirm rosa loves and appreciates artem as he is, just as those of us who came to love and appreciate artem in year 1 did... it's sooo good.
year 3 went out of its way to try and make artem "not boring" by giving him hobbies he was a master at and making him some suave possessive daddy dom. so seeing the writing just. "get" artem like this, and revert on almost all of the year 3 writing is such a relief.
and while artem does open up and become more comfortable around rosa, the core of his personality SHOULDN'T change. because that would be altering who he is as a person and as a character.
hell, the theme of his little cowboy ssr is how he isn't good at being direct with his words, but he expresses his love, affection, and emotions in other ways. his actions could convey a whole story - this ssr's theme absolutely nails artem as a character.
and having it act as a metaphor in regards to the visual storytelling in a movie? the subtle movements an actor makes? chef kiss.
and in regards to his serious personality?

Marius may have had the CEO fashion on full-time, maybe because Hoyo might have thought he’d have more of a reach that way? He also doesn’t seem to have any piercings either, which could also be a reach thing? I think I definitely prefer the look they use now to advertise him. (´･ᴗ･ ` )
I love Artem’s trenchcoat which he technically has in the official image you see whenever you load up the game, but it would’ve been interesting to see him wear it all the time. I don’t know if he’s even wore a trenchcoat yet that wasn’t in an AU card. I think he looks great in everything though! (⌒▽⌒)
Vyn’s outfit doesn’t seem to have changed much, but he does look a bit different due to the change of art style.
Luke also looks about the same! I do like that they changed his everyday outfit to have dark colors. I feel like all the white washes him out a bit.
Our NXX boys have grown so much! I love looking into the beta versions of games, and TOT is no exception! One day I’ll buy the art books (￣▽￣*)ゞI hope they localize them someday!
The Flavors of Life Artem event started today!
I absolutely love how adorable this is! I didn’t know I needed a chibi cowboy Artem Wing in my life until now! ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ♡
Artem looks great in his outfit too! I think it’s pretty cute that he dressed like a cowboy to visit a Western town. (>⩊<)
Rosa looks amazing as always too! I love her little pigtails!
