buck and maddie breaking their professional persona over the radio. buck begging his sister to help him save their family, maddie just wanting him safe. this is everything I've ever wanted.

buckthena team ups will forever be awesome. 100% guarantee that they will accomplish what they’re set to do. a little girl stuck in a house with dangerous robbers? saved. older sister kidnapped by abusive ex husband? found. hit and run involving beloved member of dispatch? solved. athena wanted to march into a burning building to save her husband. and buck was by her side arguing that she could do it. now they’re going to be the only ones on the outside, watching as their loved ones are trapped with a killer virus. i hope they go crazy.

buck teasing eddie while they're on facetime and eddie goes "oh you love me" and buck says "WHAT noidon't. what are you talking about. did tommy tell you to say that? did MADDIE tell you to say that??you're straight. and this isn't even your house. and i, hate you." and then he hangs up

buck completely unable to defend himself against having feelings for eddie except for this isn’t even his house technically and also he’s straight. look at my lawyer dawg im going to jail

i wrote about how every subsequent Hunger Games book feels like Suzanne Collins grabbing a certain section of readers by the scruff of the neck and shaking them to finally get the fucking point

so gemma was orpheus all along. when she looked back, called mark’s name, and asked him to come home.. innie mark realized he had no feelings for this woman. if she had stayed facing forward maybe the allegiance to his outie would have won out. but gemma turning around made him hesitate long enough for helly to appear. and when she called his name.. it was game over. eurydice embraced the underworld with open arms.

i can write so much more about why i think severance S2 isn't as strong or enjoyable as S1, but i could truly go on forever so i've organized my thoughts into three categories: lack of inter/departmental connection, dropped storylines, and how the world feels much smaller (1.2k words under the cut)

also the fact that drummond is killed on accident in the elevator due to the muscle spasms of the innie/outie switch-- the process is VIOLENT and is always violent and is always a death and for once it happened to lumon upper management rather than staff. the metaphor. i love it.
