Gen 5 & 8 are top of my list for pokemon art right now :3 haven't decided which to do.. currently fighting for my life (college exam season) but when I'm done I'll finally have some time to draw. rejoice two wolves fighting inside of me (want to draw ocs vs want to draw pokemon) so I'm not sure what will come first but!! on the horizon for sure

hi! ๐Ÿ‘‹ lemme just say that i absolutely ADORE your art, especially your pokemon art, itโ€™s incredible! i love the designs of the johto, hoenn, kalos, and alola starters! do you plan on also drawing the kanto starters? or possibly the eeveelutions at some point?

Thank you!! <3 I've been having a lot of fun doing the pokemon sketches, Kanto isn't currently on my radar but I would like to do all the starters at some point, whenever that may be. So!! Eventually? I'm not sure when I'll get around to doing more pokemon art. I have thought about eeveelutions, I think those would be tons of fun so I would definitely like to do them.

here's an old charizard I never finished, though!

Came here for pokรฉmon but then I went to check out the rest of your art and my eyes WIDENED. HOW ID YOUR MIND THIS GENIUS AND YOUR SKILL THIS ADVANCED. The colours, the character designs, the backgrounds, THE LINEWORK. God I hope my art will be half as good as this one day.

Your art is lovely!! I really like all your OCs, I'd like to know what's up with the sad one in the armor and the purple one if you'll tell me!

thank you!! I would love to yap about these two :3

First up, the angel in the armour's name is Alden, whose species was synthetically created by a god named Dalton for the purposes of hunting down and killing Progenies.

Knight/soldier type deal who, like the rest of his species, was born to fight and is very good at it - they are able to directly wield a substance called Ichor, which is the fundamental fuel for magic in this world (Gods have a lot of this in their blood, which is why they're so powerful), which they then use to form weapons and their golden armour.

Over time, Alden felt that this cycle of violence and fighting was doing more harm than good, and eventually exiled himself from his god and his people.

Dalton goes missing at some point, which becomes the catalyst to the downfall of his species - Alden very well could be the only one left.

An Eventโ„ข causes Alden to have his left wing completely mangled, and leading him to believe that he is a failure. He is left lost in the ruins of his people and his beliefs.

Eventually meets a weird pink moth guy and he's doin a lil better now. Not as optimistic as he used to be but still tries to do good.

unfortunately don't have any recent doodles of him to post with this so erm erm erm uhm uhm moving on -------------------------

The purple one goes by "The Prince". I'll keep this a bit vague since I was planning on chatting about him a bit more in the future. The Prince is only one half of the whole!! He is a Progeny, which you can kind of think of as like a demon/demigod type creature that are born in...strange situations involving mortals somehow surviving coming into contact with something that their bodies & minds cannot handle. (cough). This also almost always involves a near-death experience. He was originally born as elven royalty but then Bad Things Happen, naturally.

Once upon a time, The Prince basically appeared out of nowhere and then went on a warpath. Would show up and kingdoms crumbled around him. He very quickly became notorious as a terrible omen and a creature to be avoided at all costs.

Until one day The Prince completely vanished - and hasn't been seen since.

In reality, he ended up sealing away the majority of his power and has since stayed in a smaller form more reminiscent of what he looked like before his original transformation:

He goes by the name Sylvan - he considers himself and "The Prince" two separate entities (hence, the pseudonym). Bit of a hermit and rarely makes appearances - "Sylvan" is still quite well-known, but the realities of his true self have mostly been lost to time.

He is still able to use some of his abilities but they come at a much steeper cost. He has managed to carefully build up a reputation of strength and cruelty for himself despite his weakened state which wards off the majority from attempting to come after him for any reason. He often puts up an act when in public for this reason.

Like most progenies, the exact workings of his magic are mostly a mystery - but the vast majority have some inkling that he is able to affect the mind in some way.

Came for the pokemon stayed for the absolutely stunning art and lore, Iโ€™m so invested in your ocs I loooove deity characters that are beyond mortal comprehension

thank youo my incomprehensible little guys bring me joy :^)

Anonymous asked:

As much as the Pokรฉmon art is cool, Iโ€™m in utter awe with your other art as well.

Iโ€™m especially curious with the one with the gods, who are they?

I'm really happy to hear that, thank you so much!! :D (Referring to these guys)

Just for some general info: Those four characters are creatures called Sovereigns, who are essentially responsible for how magic works in my oc's world, and have power over the fundamental forces of the universe (although these are just the consequences of them existing, they didn't do it on purpose).

The tag "The Gods" for that post is admittedly a little misleading, since these guys are something a little different. Think more eldritch creature, but not really malicious. Their names are: Oreion, Sovereign of Order Deimere, Sovereign of Chaos Neyliene, Sovereign of Life (Although a more accurate title is Sovereign of Growth and Decay, "Life" is how the majority perceive her) Sorren, Sovereign of Death They are "siblings" in a loose sense, not biologically related due to what they are but have that kind of dynamic. Neyliene is the only one that mortals are actually able to interact with, as long as she doesn't kill them by accident (or intentionally).

None of them are particularly good or evil, but being around them usually has consequences. Hopefully the worst thing that happens is death, but some are not so lucky. And here's some neat little icons I did for them a while back:
