Also, 🏏 (<- there isn't a baseball bat emoji shhh) I'm here to beat information out of you. Do you make comics of your ocs or have story stuff for them. They're very visually interesting to me.
usually when drawing, i make the drawing as isolated as possible. as in i treat it as the only piece i'll make of this character (which it usually ends up being) so i force myself to cram as much personality and or coolness into that art piece to get the character across.
so everything character related is just in that piece, no comic, no written story, most times not even a name, its all just there
i do this because retaining interest in a single character design is hard for me and i like creating new ones, so i just instead let the viewer interpret the story of them for me.
