from my sources adjacent to tumblr--from which i can spread rumors and insider information freely because i dont give a fuck about ever working in the tech sector--im hearing this round of firings was focused on purging the senior staff, and not just from support but from the entire remaining tumblr workforce. i'm hearing there are about 25 people left.

While I don't think that Tumblr is about to shut down anytime soon, as a fandom old who lost my community and my people when the fandom diaspora happened from LiveJournal, I want to urge that you do something NOW:

I mean this with all my heart. Get this done now. Get set up and find your people now. Tumblr is the home of fandom now, just as LiveJournal was the home of fandom way back. And you could end up losing your fandom home just as easily and quickly as us old LJ people did way back then.

It's a horrible feeling, and most old LJ users still mourn the loss of it to this day.

Hey here's some unsolicited decor advice: get a bowl. put it on your coffee table. fill it with objects that are Good To Hold. Watch your guests be satisfied.

For example, I have this bowl of polished rock orbs. (and one glass ball.) they serve no purpose but everyone who comes into my home picks up at least one of them and just kinda rolls it around in their hands.

Use something like this to conduct a social experiment. Have multiple balls of varying sizes, colors, and visual textures. Periodically rearrange them and/or swap them out. See which balls get picked up most and by who. Don't forget to write it down! Have fun. : )

Anyways I want Tim to finally have enough, maybe dig in some old family deeds/files or something and finds a old farm land/house his family still owned.

He decides to use it, if anything to just get away for a while and just think about what he actually wants to do with his life.

He gets to the town, it's small and hardly any tech is used and finds the old farm house. It's not much but it'll work.

Meanwhile.

Danny has to leave Amity, things have gone from okay to bad and it's all Vlads fault. The jerk decided to fight him in the middle of the night and Danny got caught changing back, and so very tired from the fight, by his parents and he freaked out and ranaway.

Well flew away.

Danny decides in his panic to take a page out of his Aunt Alicia's book and go off the grid to a near isolated and small town.

I want Tim teaching Danny how to actually wield a sword, and I want Danny to take Tim out at night to see the stars and explain all of the ones they can see. I want them to meet the Junimo's and they swarm like blob ghosts around Danny cause they are technically forest spirits and can sense his ghosty side.

I want Danny and Tim enjoying themselves in town, making friends with the townspeople and just becoming a part of the community. I want Tim nervous on his first Fair event, wondering if the things he's grown is good enough and I want Danny to be so supportive about it, helping him arrange them. I want Danny to be AMAZING at making ice sculptures during the Festival of Ice and loves Spirit's Eve because he helps in the maze. I want Tim to be in awe during the Night Festival and dragging Danny around to all the boat shops. I want Tim to help Danny make GOOD memories during 'Christmas' time (it helps the town calls it Feast of the Winter Star instead). I want Tim to give Danny the Space boots and Danny adores them beyond anything.

I also want the community they are now living in ADORE the new residents, I want them all to be watching with baited breath to see when the two will FINALLY admit they like each other. I want them to be friends with these two clearly hurt boys, some have gotten some ideas of their past home lives, and will FIGHT to keep them happy in their town.

Point is. I just want SUPER fluffy and cute moments between them as they start making a life for themselves.

Both Amity and Gotham are going ballistic (and some places might be on fire) trying to find them.
