art question! Your style is just pure eye candy to me, and I'd love to know what your process is for stylization (if there is any) as someone who has very little knowledge on capturing the likeness of a live action character.
Do you make the decision to focus on the more important/recognizable features like hair, eye shape, general build or is it just a sort of built up muscle memory from staring very closely and drawing what you see on the subject? I'd love to hear what you think is most important in the process if you have any advice! If not, I understand completely!

Firstly, thank you so much for the kind words about my art/style!! I really appreciate it.
Oh gosh, this is somehow a tough one to answer, because I feel like I’m trying to work my process out every single time I pick up my pencil to draw.
I often get caught up in trying to match a person’s face exactly, but in doing so I’ve found that I end up losing the forest for the trees, and there ends up being no likeness whatsoever! I have tons of drawings like that all through my sketchbook (and my posts too tbh).
So just like you wondered, I have been trying to focus on the shape of features and simplifying things down. I’ve been watching a few YT artists recently who preach the importance of shape, and I think it’s really helped!!
I always use references for every drawing (the character’s face, and then random people for poses), but I’ve been trying to remind myself that I’m not trying to draw a photorealistic pic. I’m drawing the character in my style.
Hopefully I’ll be able to keep improving! But I have had a bit of RSI in my hand at the moment that’s keeping me from drawing as much as I’d like 🥲

My personal hc is that they totally accidentally crash in eachothers rooms/beds when the party dies down (but it's not really an accident)

- Got into college on a my-daddy-funded-a-new-auditorium “scholarship”
- The majority of people at college literally thinks that his last name is hairington because his frat brothers only use that and other hair related terms in place of his name
- Has a weekly existential crisis where he threatens to change his major (and he’s followed through on it several times)
- Sings in the shower (badly). Doesn’t matter what time it is. Do not complain because he will sing louder.
- Was once arrested by campus police for breaking into a sorority at 1am (Robin kept letting him go to voicemail/ignoring his texts)
- Yes Robin is in a sorority. Yes she hates it. And yes, she does enlist Steve to sabotage sorority activities with her.
- Has a dealer level amount of weed in his sock drawer cause he keeps buying it from Billy as an excuse to talk to him
- Was once found unconscious in the bathroom after using too much hairspray

Oh ABSOLUTELY I do.
- Tells everyone he sells weed to fund his tuition, when really he got in to college on an academic scholarship
- Despite being smart/studying this boy is WILD. He’s finally got a bit of freedom/has escaped his military style upbringing and is taking advantage of every second of it (but he still has the cleanest room in the flat)
- Has convinced the frat to run weekly car washes throughout the summer so
he can stare at wet boysthe frat can make money for parties - When he first joined the frat, everyone thought he had a gf because he kept talking about going to visit “my girl”, but really that’s just his affectionate term for Max (he’d never call her that to her face though)
- The frat lives in filth, but one weekend when Max came to visit he upturned the entire house and had it looking like a show home. He made them use COASTERS (cardboard ones stolen from a bar ofc)
- Has a thing for brunettes (one in particular)
- Body shots > solo cups
- BIGGG ladies-man reputation because he stays out late af some nights, but really he’s studying in the library

I was paired with the lovely @spaceofentropy, who wrote “As You Wish”, a Princess Bride AU. Billy is in Wesley’s role, with Chrissy as Princess Buttercup.
I loved how @spaceofentropy wrote them as besties, and how she wrote all of the other characters into the fic (especially the brown haired sailor who’s at Billy’s side along the way 👀

As for your other question, I’d go for the hello kitty pencil except I’d never use it cause I’d never want to sharpen it (I’m pretty sure I had a bunch of fresh untouched pencils like that when I was a kid)
