Hey. Pop culture junkie and all-around pointless person, here. Somehow an actual, real-life adult, despite everything. I post dorky stuff that gets me overly-excited and the occassional existential freakout. Minors DNI, please and thank you.

Hi there!

Thanks for visiting.  CutsceneLogic here, though I usually just go by ‘Smith’ in online circles.  I mainly reblog video game and animation stuff, as well as occasional bits concerning human rights and mental health.  Overall, I hope this blog acts as a mellow place to browse; I do my best to tag everything appropriately, but do be aware there may be discussion/portrayal of sensitive subjects and/or adult content within.

All that said, if you enjoy what sparse original content I bring here, then please consider hitting me up for a voice commission!  I’ll always appreciate any help in paying my bills, and these let me not only keep the lights on, but improves both my speaking abilities and the general learning curve for my humble audio setup.

(I draw as well, but I am infinitely less confident in those skills!)

Moving forward, I hope to set up a ko-fi account, but I’m pretty new to the whole ‘providing interesting stuff’ thing, so we’ll just wait and see.

Thanks again for reading!  Have a great one.

the most mortifying part about posting abt your ocs is posting about your ocs

when my mutuals post about their ocs: omg!!! these characters are so cool!!! i love these guys i want to hear more about them!!!

when i post about my ocs: they are going to take me out back. and shoot me

Rly enamored with that post that's like (paraphrased bc i can't find it) "this is a natural self-evident biological hierarchy. that's why we have to enforce it with violence" bc it's so succinct and so broadly applicable. Look at anything we take as natural, or inevitable, or a necessary evil, or regrettable but there's no other option - is there not? What happens when you try to make another option? What violence is necessary to foreclose all other paths? Who benefits from naturalizing this hierarchy, this essentialism, this economic system, this electoral system, these national borders, etc? How many things do you think are impossible (be it transgressions of sex and gender or be it socialism, anarchism, etc) because they're always demonized and punished and strangled in the cradle? "Natural" is a word that raises my hackles. How much work goes into maintaining "the way things are" (and always have been, and have to be)? How much violence has been enforced on your imagination, to keep you thinking that no other worlds are possible?

I need people to give up the lie that everything will be okay for immigrants if they just enter legally. immigrants can literally do everything "the right way" and racists will just fuck them over anyways and lie about it. because they don't actually give a fuck about immigration law they just hate mexicans. like I need people to stop acting confused when it happens over and over again. why would they do that to someone who followed the law? well because they can

Disabled people have to live somewhere poor people have to live somewhere you cant just exclude us from everywhere

"What if theyre dirty" is it worth killing us over?

"What if theyre loud" is it worth killing us over?

"What if it would inconvenience me" is it worth killing us over?

People die without housing.

People have been mentioning it so I want to explicitly say this includes addicts

Unfriendly reminder that shelter is the second-most important aspect of survival, behind only breathing.

Yes, even food and water come after.

You can die of exposure within three hours.

You can be talking to someone and she'll be like, "Oh I made a silly mistake. Women don't deserve voting rights teehee." And you'll be like, "What." And she'll be like, "Oh I'm sorry! That must sound so bad out of context. No it's this Tiktok meme where, if you're a girl and you do something dumb, you say 'Women don't deserve voting rights teehee.'"

And you'll be like, "That sounds bad." And she'll be like, "No no. It's totally not that bad. It's just a meme. Men say it too. Like if a man does something silly he'll be like, 'I am like those women who do not deserve to vote.'" And you'll be like, "Does that make it better?" And she'll be like, "Well there was one guy who tried to make 'Men shouldn't vote' a popular meme. But it never caught on and also he got yelled at a lot."

And then you drop it there because like, you're harshing the vibe.

God this makes me think of this screenshot:

"it minimizes you as a person" really wraps up my entire discomfort with the whole "oh but i'm just a girl" thing when used in most situations.
