Am I the only one who desires to see more loose hair Homura with glasses and braids Homura without glasses? Why do these have to be so rare?
kyubey i dont think human teen girls are the most emotionalest of everyone in the universe i think youre just a misogynist
"We don't understand this 'misogyny' word you humans use. It's a judgement based on well documented statistics. We only use best of the demographic we selected, so if anything it's a compliment to your potential!"
keep yourself cute!
Close up under the cut
TL;DR i like madoka. the writing can be needlessly cruel and edgy and abstract. i think this works in the anime's favor. the world is shaped by the sloppy brain-soup leaking from the skulls of teenage suicide victims, and their grieved spirits haunt you everywhere you go. whatever universal karmic scientology is posited to you about human nature is just an excuse for the exploitation of 14-year-old girls. no matter how hard you try to be good and save people, you cannot change the world without first addressing your fellow women. you are all you have, and you have to take care of each other, even when it breaks the rules. you have to love each other more than anything. it's transfeminist media.
What homura did was big and flashy, yes, but frankly I think we’ve let deranged lesbian Kyoko Sakura—who killed herself for a girl she met like 3 days ago—slide by right under our noses for far too long. Don’t worry freaky girl, I saw you. I saw you.
I was stupid... so stupid
that one t.a.t.u. pic
A good use of time and energy right now (as always) is infighting. If people agree on any important points whatsoever, mutual hatred is warranted. Avoid collective action at all costs. Build no coalitions. Instead, start altercations. Create divisions where none exist. Extend no goodwill nor patience nor understanding. Kill and maim over inadvertent insults of minute size. Make accusations wherever you go. Check in on your friends using a chainsaw. If you see someone struggling, take advantage. We are all in this separately.
in pmmm rebellion within the first 20 minutes, right after madoka first meets homura, there's a month timeskip, and always struck me as kinda odd. it felt like there was no real reason for the timeskip to specifically be a month, a few days or a week would've made much more sense to me. but i realized something in this watch through that i feel kinda silly for not realizing before, this is a labyrinth hiding behind an ideal world to homura, and in this labyrinth the one month that homura had been repeating, over and over, flashed by, it was over so quickly, it inconsequential, and they were able to live past it. it's such a short moment and such a small detail but now that i've noticed i cannot stop thinking about it
taking the idea a step further, the illusion only begins to fall apart after that first month, homura doesn't know what happens next, homura knows that one month so well, but after that month? homura doesn't have anything after that month, her past 10 years have been spent getting to that point, that month is all homura knows, homura has never let herself imagine a world past that month and so when she tries to, when she's forced to, the dream all goes up in flames. literally
Madoka Magica Heritage Post
too much for a kid to carry
don't mind me, just a lil commission asked by @TheHeartGhost at deviantArt of a sweet little heart and Valentines' inspired lil illustration of Nagisa Momoe in her Valentines' clothes from Magia Record! this one was really super fun (trying not to say "fun to whip" just so I don't make the obvious pastry puns heahahah) and the orange patterned hearts was also a nice little addition asked by the commissioner which also helped solidify and complete the whole illustration <3
Hopefully, fans will like this lil piece also and hopefully it cheering someones' day with a lil chocolate-y and sweet/cute illustration <3
