50 today 🎂

This is the last month of my 40’s, and people keep asking if I feel 50. I have no idea how 50 is supposed to feel. I feel like me, I don’t feel any particular age. I don’t feel old. I feel grateful. I feel loved. I feel content. I feel so much love for my dad, my spectacular daughters, my partner, his daughters, my friends, my kitties. I’m excited about my career. I feel at peace with missed opportunities. I feel ready for more adventures. I didn’t expect to make it to 20, so every trip around the sun since then has felt like a gift and a victory. I wasn’t planning to be here. I’m here. It took audacity to get here, so it is with audacity that I will embrace the rest of my journey.
