can’t even say you hate both proshippers and antishippers without being told you have to pick a side, both sides are dumbass 13 year olds who need to go outside, liking problematic stuff isn’t a proship thing, being against harassment isn’t a proship thing, disliking or having discomfort to ships or problematic things doesn’t make you an anti, it’s even more stupid when an adult calls themselves proship it antiship, just block and move on instead of using labels that only a 13 year old emo with both mommy and daddy issues would use, you can talk about ship and fandom discourse without using a stupid ship label.

i feel like people only use terms like proship and antiship as a way to hide how shitty of a person they are because both sides from what i see both harass people and victim blame victims, and i never see anyone speak up about both sides harassing people over fictional characters because both sides treat fictional characters like real people and real people like fictional characters, not once on twitter and not once on tumblr have i seen anyone speak up about it.

Something about people tagging fanart of John Egbert with "June Egbert" or just "Egbert" in general feels disingenuous to me, like the fanbase is trying to erase the character John is or was for something worse.

Problem Slueth is still better than Davekat (and homestuck)

Despite having thought about how I'd want to change The dancestors role (and Jake) in act 6 so they aren't as wasted (as my previous few asks/posts have talked about) I'm a lot less certain in what to do with the rest of the cast. Obviously Vriska learning from the example post-retcon Aranea sets by her learning and improving from her pre-retcon self-destructive spiral is important but beyond that? The only major changes in terms of main character changes is making Davekat not exist and thus not having both characters fall into trap of becoming shells of their former selves. its a bit surprising that despite how much I've thought about it after all these years, I still don't have a complete concrete vision of an Ideal act 6. Though I suspect its possibly because there are SO MANY ways to have done it differently and still have it be better, but on the other hand I'm not a writer (though I am DM and enjoy theory-crafting and world-building as hobbies) so actually tying down these things isn't wholly my forte. and in fairness, we are doing this all in hindsight, and most of us aren't in as shitty a situation as hussie put himself into. still at least 60% his fault, 10% his friends and relationships, 20% Hussie not planning this shit out in advance, and 10% Hussie giving special privileges to Vriska. honestly weirded out with how people use she/her pronouns for hussie. i know hussie dont give a fuck but i dont think its a gender thing as much as it is hussie probably trolling people. hes literally just another cis guy.
