Scenes from my studio.
i finished toni morrison's song of solomon last night and man oh man! i can't even put into words how brilliant that novel is. i need to spend some time in my commonplace book picking it apart. it's the longest book I've read this year (so far) because i am a sucker for short novellas. and i took my time reading song of solomon, a little over a month. and it felt so good to really live with the text instead of devouring it.
slowly settling into a routine involving reading essays, random book chapters, writing, and loads of coffee
