i mostly post about shameless and the bear as of right now but you may find some sporadic posts about banana fish, yuri on ice, ace attorney, and many others im too lazy to list.

I don’t have a strict dni, but these are non-negotiable:

  • basic dni (racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc)
  • zionists
  • terfs
  • proshippers

Other info about me:

  • white autistic nonbinary lesbian
  • i am goth :D
  • my DMs are always open! just be patient as im not always the best at responding right away
  • same thing with my ask box!

here are some other places you can find me:

carmy has had to deal with many depressive episodes. so needless to say, he knows what to do when it hits you like a truck. he knows the signs right away.

he would wash your clothes, make you a comfort meal, try to put on a show or movie you enjoy. he wouldn’t mind carrying you to the tub. he’s so gentle when bathing you. apologizing when he tries to untangle your hair. constantly reassuring you how good your doing and how strong you are. that he won’t leave you and he understands all while trying not to cry at the state you’re in. he reassures you that it’s ok if you don’t wanna talk.

as soon as he wraps his strong arms around your frame in the bed, you lose it. all the tears are finally spilling. he just holds you because he doesn’t know what else to say to make it better. softly telling you to let it out. that he loves you. kissing away your tears. stroking your hair. he never wants to leave

I have this headcanon that because both Abigail and John were first time parents, Arthur stepped up and showed them the basics. Abigail would be impressed and question if he had experience with babies. Arthur would then fall quiet and probably change the subject. John would see how well Arthur is with his baby that he feels even more pressure and doubt about being a dad (also with the nagging possibility that he may not be the actual father of Jack).

i’ll never forget when someone insinuated she wasn’t butch bc she has long and was wearing mascara. yet when a man has long hair and wears makeup yall are silent.

it’s also important to know butch is not just a gender expression but an identity. learn ur history. van is butch

one thing i think shameless did well is hammering in the fact that addiction can be an explanation but is not always an excuse for behaviors. an example of this is lip vs frank. how lip did hurt people yet continues to try his best to recover and give a good life for his kid. the exact opposite can be said about frank who constantly abuses his kids and has only “tried” to be sober when it directly benefited him and has never once tried to apologize or make up for his behaviors. yet for some reason too many people try to excuse frank by saying “he’s a struggling alcoholic.” and that he really did care for his kids deep down. on the opposite end of the spectrum we have people demonizing lip and victim blaming him and not knowing that alcoholism is a disease and as if he had complete control when he was spiraling and actively being taken advantage of by two professors with no support system. yall rlly missed big nuances of the show and its very sad to see considering these are real things real ppl go thru.

i’ve been seeing a lot of posts about the yellowjackets wearing each other’s clothes and while i love the angst of it all, i think it’s worth noting that the entire group seems to swap clothes regularly and there’s something equally devastating about that, too

the fact that they probably didn’t have a solid laundry system, especially in those first several months out there and especially in the winter, so they had no real way of separating clothing based on who it belonged to and several of the girls’ favorite clothes wound up lost

the fact that they lost all sense of personal style out there because they had to prioritize wearing what they had and sharing clothes to layer up with, symbolizing how they slowly lost their attachment to the civilized world that they once knew

the fact that, for 19 months, none of them got to have the teenage girl experience of picking out cute outfits every day and walking out feeling confident and pretty and themselves

the fact that so much of the clothing they had belonged to their dead teammates and friends, and they had to wear that clothing without ever having time to think about it or mourn the people they lost before putting it on

the fact that certain characters favor the clothing of specific people they’ve lost, like shauna regularly wearing jackie’s clothing more than anyone else’s or lottie regularly wearing laura lee’s dress

the fact that that clothing will always carry the traumatic memories of what they went through out there, no matter how much time passes or how many times they run it through the wash

the wilderness will always be there, inside every fiber of the fabric like a stain that will not come out
