i am making a pinned post, and the pinned post is to tell you about my transformers fansite, where i run a few of my tf-related personal projects!

current projects on the site:

  • information regarding my archival project for the MTMTE/LL scripts
  • documenting the signature magazine free gift toys, especially the character figures (in progress)
  • compiling a comprehensive list of interviews, panels, etc. with IDW transformers creators in one place (in progress, just started)
  • [UPDATE 12/05/23] I am also now doing plaintext transcriptions of the IDW1 prose stories so they can be more accessible!
  • [UPDATE 09/05/2024] I have added a .pdf of the (Japanese language) ebook version of the Japanese light novel "Transformers: The Headmasters - War of Dreams" (sans the paperback illustrations)!

i also have a contact page if you have any interest in getting in touch about the stuff i'm trying to do here. i'm especially currently looking for anything relating to TF fanzines i can digitize and archive, so if you have anything you'd like to share, drop me a line? :)

Shout out to @anosci for sending me the oldest Usenet mention of transformers he could track down, from May 22, 1984. The cartoon would not air until September 17, 1984. The very first issue of the Marvel comic was released on May 8, 1984.

This may very well be the first Transformers review ever written and it's by an absolute fucking HATER

Flame retardant chemicals stain the flight line near two C-130 Hercules aircraft at Geiger Field. The chemicals were drained from the modular airborne firefighting systems (MAFFS) installed aboard the aircraft, which are being used to battle forest fires in the nearby White Mountain complex, August 24, 1989. NARA 6447993
