Imagine if Sylus had long hair in his myth and MC was the one who taught him how to braid it first 🥹🩷
small moments with you that make Sylus realize that maybe the distance between his life with you in Philos and his life with you now aren't as far apart as they seem.
➻➻ ABOUT | 2000 words. sylus x gn!reader.
➻➻ TAGS | light angst. banter. hurt/comfort. modern day. references to Sylus' myth.
NOTE: A small and self-indulgent little thing inspired by this ask. It's also Sylus Month™ and I'm finding that dragon!sylus is plaguing my mind a little more than usual.
Sylus had long since accepted his new reality. The absence of horns and tail, the vulnerability of his missing scales and wings, the dullness of human nails in the places his claws should’ve grown. Gone were the days of flight and fire and fight, towering over civilization and reveling in raw power in his truest form.

I'm not sure if you take requests but I *loved* Covetous and how you write Sylus and MC so I thought I'd send this anyway....
Any chance you could do a little one shot of current timeline Sylus x MC where MC has had a fascination/obsession with dragons her whole life without knowing why? Like she's got bookshelves filled with fantasy books with dragons and art and just thinks they're just so cool. Then at some point Sylus even notices she has a little black dragon tattoo that's normally covered by her clothing (shoulder maybe?).
I think it would be so cute seeing him realize that even without remembering their past life she still has that piece of her that hasn't forgotten about her dragon 🥹
jskhgkfj first of all, thank you for your kind words! I wrote that in a fever dream before his myth was even fully released so to know someone liked that take on dragon!sylus is a huge compliment.
And for it to inspire such a lovely prompt too?! I'm utterly humbled that you've trusted lil ol me with it. I loved where your brain was at with this ...though I might've stepped a little deeper into angst than I originally anticipated since it's from Sylus' POV <.<
Anywayyy, here's some modern day MC making sylus short-circuit over the fact that she loves dragons.
PS: SO sorry it took actual dragon years for me to respond to this but I hope you enjoy! xx

The amount of lies MC would have to cook up to keep up Sylus's fruit vendor bullshit story afloat. We know she sucks at lying okay, girl would be fighting for her life.
Suddenly Skye has a full backstory, he had a pet goat and three siblings that still live on his uncles' farm and there was an unfortunate famine when he was 14. The stories of his childhood are weirdly similar to Heidi, and Tara just knows the famine bit (word-to-word) also happened in one of Supernatural's episodes.
Moreover Sylus is the kind to play along with the really bad lies with a shit-eating grin.
"Yes actually, I did teach the wealthy girl how to walk again."
"Ah yes my goat, good old Balthazar., we had to cook him in the famine tho-"
