I gotta be a shooter for Pangi, so here's an essay of reasons I think Ros and Aimsey need to swallow their pride and get the fuck over themselves when it comes to the POST BALL kill. In general chronological order not importance, very unorganized
1) apparently something that ros and aimsey pov watchers forget is that THE WHOLE TWENTY YEARS that they were in the Null, Pangi had NIGHTMARES about Pili2 because Pili2 had been harassing him and leaving signs saying things like "I ALWAYS COME BACK" around Pangi's house, messing with his grief over Pili1. Pangi has been LOST since Pili1 died, and he was fully already crashing out over Pili1's death because Pili2 was rubbing it in his face that Pili1 was gone, and Pili2 made this whole show of bringing Pangi into their white void room to do this whole "Pili1 is never coming back and it's not healthy for you to try to find a replacement for him in me" BEFORE the signs. Pangi even after returning from the Null had a moment of wishing he was BACK IN THE NULL because he heard Pili2 was on his way. The Keepers even sent him back briefly, further traumatizing Pangi.
This huge manipulation and psychological tactics are why Ros almost vetoed Pili joining yellow, and Ros even said that to Pili and Foolish, and Pili exploitly asked if Ros would put Pangi's trauma from Pili above the Kingdom and Foolish convinced her to give Pili a chance. it's not something they weren't told. they knew this and acted on this for like a week, then Ros started becoming friends with Pili, and Aimsey was always on Ros's side about it.
And I say ros and aimsey viewers forget because I literally was dming an aimsey PoV watcher and they COMPLETELY didn't know and thought I was saying Lukey has nightmares about Ros at first. Like, fully they didn't remember. Same shock came for the next point.
2) Aimsey and Ros weren't the greatest to Pangi in the Null. That's just a fact. Ros is less to blame for this given the way the Null affected her, but Aimsey was consistently physically aggressive to Pangi to get what they wanted, even if it was as small as 5 minutes on an ipad. Aimsey would even be threatening to Ros over the time in the Null, but Aimsey admitted to literally physically hitting Pangi until he gave them what they wanted. Ros on the otherhand would shut down, and Aimsey would use that as a chance to speak for Ros.
Sure, maybe it was coming from a place of care for Ros, but still, it's clear from their return that Aimsey basically assigned himself as Ros's orderly and therefore voice. Ros was never speaking up against Aimsey's aggression, again, because she got fucked up, but that doesn't change that for TWENTY YEARS, which is MORE THAN HALF OF HIS MEMORY, Pangi was alone in a void with the person who would beat him to get what they wanted and someone who didn't protect him from that.
Frankly, I need more people to realize that he owes them JACK SHIT and that his bond with them isn't because they were kind to him. Aimsey literally abused him, they are literally traumabonded. Thats the foundation of Pangi's loyalty to them. (If ccs didn't intend that, they should reassess themselves, being physically abused for 20 years over an Ipad is still abuse in minecraft rp and if they're gonna be upset about labeling yellow a cult when they spout culty shit like how they believe Foolish is king of everyone and everything he says is gospel even if youre not yellow etc then they gotta take this and either retcon or not joke about abusing people in character multiple times)
3) Lukey has literally done NOTHING to Ros. Her ONLY gripe is she HEARD his VOICE, not that he said anything to her or to the keepers specifically, her only justification is "he might be working with the keepers" WHILE SHE HOSTS A SECOND BALL WITH THE KEEPERS AS COHOSTS BECAUSE SHE'S WORKING WITH THEM TO FIX HER SICKNESS and we ALREADY KNOW WHAT THE KEEPERS ARE AND WHAT THEYRE TRYING TO DO.
We know what project outworlder is, they've admitted that they don't know what's happening anymore, the outworlders KNOW FIRST HAND that the keepers are innocent because ROS AND AIMSEY BOTH HEARD THE GODS CORRUPTING THE PLACE AND KNOW THAT THE KEEPERS HAVE ONLY BEEN TRYING TO BE FREED. SO WHAT if Lukey is working with the Keepers, you literally made a contract with them the day before the ball.
Bek openly works with the Keepers more than Lukey does (from what I know). They literally go to her as their mediator when they want to give people information and Tubbo can command them and they listen to him. But she's not scared of Tubbo or Bek, she's just VIOLENT to Lukey.
Worse than that, AIMSEY HAS LITERALLY WORKING WITH THE KEEPERS WITHOUT TELLING ROS! AIMSEY HIMSELF was EXPERIMENTING with the CORRUPTION with the Keepers behind Ros's back. The fact that Aimsey is validating this violence towards Lukey over something they themself did is so incredibly hypocritical. I don't know if Aimsey has even since told Ros, but he HAS told Foolish now.
Honestly, this is why I think they both want to make their violence to Lukey irrelevant, even though it matters very deeply to Pangi and they know that. Because they know that it's either unfounded or they themselves are guilty or they're friends with people they shouldn't be if that is their standard, and they don't want to admit it.
4) Pangi only invited Lukey because Ros let Pili, then Ros tried to kill Lukey and uses Pangi inviting Lukey as a reason to distrust him, and LIED about it.
As soon as Pangi's gone the first time after finding out what happened, Ros is giggly about how she tried to have Lukey killed and said it was her feeling silly and feeling like she should be allowed to just murder for no reason "like everyone else".
Then she admits her fault more when Pangi comes knowing the full story from Lukey, and then still pretends she had no intent. Even later when Lukey and Bad and Tubbo and Pili are there, she literally says she never expressed intent for him to die WHEN SHE HAS KILLED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES AND TOLD SNEEG TO "GO FOR LUKEY"
Aimsey and Ros act like that is irrelevant and say so, but again, they got so mad when Pangi killed Pili before when Pili ACTUALLY HARASSED HIM and Lukey did NOTHING except OFFER TO NOT GO and LEFT IN PEACE when he got his answer. They befriended and accomodated when it came to Pili, and yet when it came to Pangi, they were behind killing Lukey and lying to Pangi about it, and then when that didn't go over well with Pangi and he expressed it hurt because not only was she being hypocritical, but she lied to him, Ros went to PILI2 OF ALL PEOPLE and said all this stuff about how Lukey is just CRYING and Pangi is believing him. PILI2 IS WHO ROS TOLD THIS NEGATIVE STUFF ABOUT PANGI TO
5) Its starting to piss me off that people think both a) ros is allowed to kill lukey because his voice is familiar and that's it and b) pangi is out of line for killing Pili AFTER a ball meant to help Ros's time sickness because PANGI ALSO HAS TIME SICKNESS RELATED TO SPECIFICALLY HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH PILI
PANGIS BODY IS STILL BEING CORRUPTED AFTER HIS STAY IN THE NULL, WHERE IS HIS HELP?! Ros isn't the only one who was taken from that ball, and EVERYTHING surrounding the second ball hurt Pangi. From Pili2's involvement, to the Lukey invites, to the Zam invite, the ball was always explicitly a "only ros's trauma matters today and you have to suck it up and we're going to actively disregard your shared trauma because we care about ros" event. Honestly, good for him for getting his own good ending to the ball once he upheld his promise to Aimsey.
6) as I've just referenced, yes he promised to not ruin the ball, but Pangi's promise pertained to DURING the Ball, not after it. Aimsey literally sat Pangi down and said they weren't even asking as a friend anymore but because Pangi is seen as destructive and angry, but to let Ros have the ball.
Literally, Aimsey's verbatim words are "Im not saying this to you as a friend, its you pangi." and "Feel free to do whatever you want after." (Also, tr!Aimsey in that exchange pissed me off because what the fuck do you mean "tell me now so I'm not disappointed when it happens" "I can't handle more disappointment"? Fuck off??? Shit you hear in bridgerton fanfics from the mother of the male love interest)
He told Aimsey that he only planned to do anything if they started something, and Aimsey said "Well, that's retaliation, that's fine." and she said "Maybe do it after" HE DIDN'T BREAK ANY PROMISE!!! He literally even told Aimsey he was bringing his minigun. (unrelated but the next thing in Pangi's vod after telling aimsey about the minigun and aimsey flying off is hilariously unintended foreshadowing because it's bek coming to yell at him for killing kyle eff in the library and not waiting for him and Tubbo to go outside to do it and then she runs off yelling without letting Pangi get a word in edgewise lmao)
The people who asked him to wait longer were THE KEEPERS. yKnow... the people that ROS KILLED LUKEY OVER BEING POTENTIALLY WORKING WITH. Fr, it's starting to piss me off to even see that screenshot of that message. Like, I don't even have more to say to that except the fact that working with them is a crime worthy of death, but not listening to them means he betrayed Ros? Just make it make sense for a second, please.
7) It seems like, despite all of the research Aimsey is doing, they don't realize the corruption and Maddening effects applies to her friend who's being corrupted by his stay in the Null who has a purple infection similar to how the warden infection starts, who has been obsessed over by someone obessed with corruption who is essentially confirmed to be suffering from the Maddening. The fact that Aimsey and Ros have given up their concern the longer Pili2 was driving Pangi crazy while they had to have watched that infection start to spread in the Null is crazy. They were wearing tattered clothes, Pangi couldn't hide it. Aimsey of all people should be incredibly concerned with that, he should understand that Pili2 is only serving to advance Pangi's Maddening and that if he lashes out at Pili2, that's either a symptom or incredibly necessary. Imagine if Pangi becomes fully possessed by the corruption now that Pili2 is gone and no longer all pink and glowy from corruption. That would certainly be attributable to Pili2's harassment.
8) For posterity, I have to also add that Ros said to Pangi she wasn't hosting last minute, after designing and inviting and building the event and being the reason for the ball happening in the first place and spent time talking to Keepers about it, which is why I disregard it in the above arguments, but I have to say it now because who did Ros tell Pangi was co-hosting the ball with Foolish? None other than Pili.
So, in Pangis POV, Ros essentially conned Pangi into attending a ball hosted by the person messing with him psychologically for Ros's benefit and she tried to kill the one person who is still on his side when it comes to Pili because Lukey offered to not go to make her comfortable, and then they put him in a dark maze like in Null, which he would've been put through ALONE if Ros hadn't changed her mind and invited everyone in green. Pili would've stuck him in 5 separate dark rooms he couldn't escape from, ALONE, while Zam, his best friend, was with Pili.
I really don't get why they went with a blindness void maze for the ball, but Ros liked it? so good for her? but idk, I just think you gotta also consider that part of the whole hosting arrangement and the pretenses Pangi was invited under and then how he was sent from the Ballroom to a VOID MAZE by PILI2 AND THE KEEPERS and Aimsey and Ros saw 0 issue with that and didn't think Pangi would be reactive about Pili once that had happened??? That's fucked.
I could go on about the other factors of how important Lukey is to Pangi and why and how much they've been harassing Lukey separate from just lying to Pangi and being hypocritical about it and I could list everything they ignore that's in Lukey's defense and everything about that, but even if you write off Lukey's chance at being a good person, what I'm left with is they didn't respect Pangi even before the kill, he upheld his promise, and the only reasons anyone is arguing with that are they think Pangi should obey the keepers and see them as speaking for Aimsey and Ros, or they're downplaying psychological abuse when, if we look back to the Maddening, that's literally exactly what is most dangerous for the realm as a whole because of the corruption that CREATED THE NULL AND THE TIME SICKNESS IN THE FIRST PLACE. The Realm will become the Null if the corruption takes over, that's literally what happened to make the first Null. That's why Aimsey is a living corpse and eating sculk with Sneeg. And all Aimsey and Ros defenders can say is "But the ball was for ros :(((". Sorry, but putting trauma on hold because the person who beat you up for 20 years asked you to is nigh impossible and really shitty to expect, and he still upheld his promise.
If you got to the end of this, you're a real one <3
