The other day I took a picture with my phone of my Ipad while watching a playthrough of gow: ascension (i think it was that one). I know that the censorship is there because it would not be cool to have a penis dangling while Kratos falls off a ledge and his clothes follow physics and lift and all that. But.

Considering how there is no bulge and it is dark, in my mind Kratos has become your local trans man that buffs in the gym and uses the T to grow a beard longer than Gandalf but shaves his head. That guy, we all know him. Got some anger issues though.

And when I say dark I mean the entire area around is white and illuminated but That part. Not. Like yeah shadows but its funny.

Has someone thought that maybe. Only maybe. Bilbo thought that it was his fault.

When the company almost died to the trolls? Hs fault because he was sneaky enough.

When the dwarves were taken by the mirkwood elves? Perhaps he should have done something!

When the dwarves were kept for a month in the cells, then? He should have figured out earlier how to save them!

When Smaug burns down Laketown? He should have been sneaky, had more wits, riddled more!

When Thorin becomes even more unwell? He has the Arkenstone in his coat! He!

When Thorin, in his sickness, feels betrayed? He is the culprit! He is the betrayer!

When the war breaks out? He shouldn't have given the Arkenstone.

When Thorin dies? He should have been there to protect him.

And when Thorin is buried? He should have done something different.

So.

Do you think Bilbo ever looks back and wishes he could have done more, different, better.

Silly mood took me over and I wrote a oneshot for Bilbo and Thorin that delves into the trauma that Bilbo must have after the journey, and the nightmares that keep him awake. It is a post-botfa consort Bilbo/king Thorin though, be aware of that canon divergence.
