Hey, hello! I'm a nerdy bookish lady with a love for all things romantic, spooky, and a little deranged. This blog is multi-fandom in nature though I get hyperfixated on characteres. I do occasionally write fanfic as a hobby but it's more of a way to have fun and practice my writing skills while I work on my true passion projects-- a couple of dark romance novel series that I'm hoping to self-publish one day. Unpopular opinion that will probably make me lose followers: you can write a compelling non-MC story without painting Emcee as the villain. Sometimes, the antagonist is your feelings, pride, lack of communication, self-awareness, etc.

A story can be effective without saying, “Emcee’s an evil bitch. She’s standing between me and my man.” I think that’s why the overall connotation of non-MC writers is that we hate her for that reason. Sometimes, the villain doesn’t have a specific face or name. Sometimes, there is no villain.

I’m not telling you how to write your stories, but it would be nice to see less woman v. woman and more, “Let’s face this shit together” or “I’m mature enough to admit I’m the one standing in my way.” And maybe I only think that way because I’ve emotionally matured throughout my life as a result of my hardships and have been forced to look in the mirror a lot, but…

Idk, don’t listen to me. Take what I say with a grain of salt.
