Hey all, Crips for Esims for Gaza has been purchasing E-sims for people in Gaza and need help to continue their advocacy!

- Do you have any interest into showing us the process behind your artworks or anything similar?
- Do you draw about other themes than trauma? If yes, would you post any of it? (don't get me wrong, I love the way you portrait these themes)

If there's interest in seeing the process, I'd be happy to share! For the art on this blog, it is specifically one-and-done (little to no planning or editing) in order to encourage a burst of expression, like improv dance or jazz, rather than a methodically-planned painting or sculpture.
I draw many other things! Lots of illustrations and paintings, as well as writing. I have other blogs where I post some of that stuff :) I enjoy my paintings the most, but they are energy intensive. Sketching or fast digital work is less taxing. If people are interested, I could share other work here<3
When I do pieces as desnos, I usually focus on a flashbulb thought, feeling, or experience. Sometimes specific instances from my past, other times specific types of feelings, like particular flavors of grief, nostalgia, anger, etc. I try to keep that mental setting in mind as I work and hope its energy comes across!
I have seen posts on Palestine get thousands on thousands of notes. If each person who engaged with them donated one dollar—literally just one; no more, no less—thousands of dollars would be raised to humanitarian aid in Gaza just like that. I understand there’s the whole bystander effect going on. People are probably like “Well there’s likely someone out there donating right now, so they can probably do without my one puny dollar” wrong. One dollar makes a huge difference. Any amount you can afford can make a huge difference.
I’m not going to say every single person on here can afford to give up a dollar, because that’s absolutely insensitive to people’s individual situations—but if you can, please donate. So many of us on here aren’t swimming in money, but we still make it a point to donate, regardless of how little or how big a sum it is. I promise it adds up.
The PCRF could use every last penny. Don’t be a bystander in a world of bystanders. It matters.

hey, I'm glad you liked the piece, and thank you for asking! I do, but I'm on the fence about taking payment for pieces directly--I've never done commissions before, so it's a little intimidating.
