FAME REALITY ALBUM, Blackout

Jo Cameron’s sixth album, Blackout, will be released in 2032. The genres range from dance-pop, electropop, techno, hyperpop, and club-pop. Jo wrote the songs with her best friends Archer Sinclair, Reverie Voss, Lyevia Kisoni-Lima, Ariana Greenblatt, Mckenna Grace, and Devena Allen from late 2028 to early 2030.

Jo described the process of this album as fun, sparkly, filled with laughter, and many, many retakes. Jo recalled how she and her friends would go out to night clubs or have girls nights and would get an idea for a song. “Going to the club can go one of two ways, having the best time of your life or crying in the back of a uber going back home. I wanted to encapsulate this in the album but I also wanted to embellish on our experiences. This was understood in the studio with the girls so if they had a crazy idea I was up for it. I really wanted this album to sound messy like a dark night club with glitter on the floor and fixing your makeup in the bathroom while the bass of the music vibrates the floor.”

when i’m not working at the sunrise shack down on the beach with belly and taylor or helping the pogues at the shop, i’m usually on the beach. reading and listening to music is 100x better there and the pictures i take while there are so beautiful. if i’m not laid out on a beach towel listening to mac miller or frank ocean, i’m in the water either riding the waves or swimming as a mermaid with cleo, emma, rikki, belly, and kie. watching the sea animals up close and watching how they live is so therapeutic, but we always have to bring a little competition to the table so all of us girls have races to see who swims the fastest.

definitely my best friend forever, my future brides maid, kiara. we’ve been best friends since pre-k and nine times out of ten we know each other better than we know ourselves. we both grew up as both part kook and part pogue and our bond deepens whenever we talk about trying to figure out which one we really are. if we’re missing from the group the others know we’re together, this goes for my parents too. kie and i are usually getting each other out of stuff with our parents. one night i was taking a late night swim to deal with stuff and i told my parents i’d be sleeping at kie’s. i usually call my parents to tell them i got there safely but i didn’t and i was just wanting to get away from everything so badly that i didn’t even tell kie my plans. my parents called kie and even though she didn’t even know she was supposed to cover for me but she did. she later found me and we talked about things which made me feel much better. she’s so funny and such a down-to-earth soul i never feel that i have to pretend to be someone different around her. her presence is enough to calm me down and i’m certain we’re platonic soulmates.

i feel like the hardest thing i face is learning how to deal with being part mermaid. i did script i don’t turn into my mermaid form every time i touch water because that would be too much (also i really wonder when or how would i be able to shower if i didn’t script that??) so it’s usually when i want to change my form. the thing is none of us (emma, cleo, rikki, kie, belly, and i) know how to control that for a while. we all have to learn slowly and it’s really difficult because we don’t know if we’ll ever be normal again. it really deepens our bonds and makes us stronger. the others have a difficult time adjusting to it, besides jj who thinks it’s so cool, but after sometime learning and figuring ourselves out everyone adjusts and always makes sure to protect us.

my angel baby, sarah cameron. i never expected to fall for her because after she didn’t invite me or kiara to her party, we fell off, but the three of us worked it out and we became a trio again. when we started to hang out more, just the two of us, i started to see parts of her she never showed anyone else. i became so intrigued by her and who she really was that we started hanging out even more. my crush on sarah happened pretty fast it was like we fell asleep on the beach one day and when we woke up, i saw her in a different light. literally and figuratively cause it was night time…anyways! i became more myself around her and not even on purpose like i wasn’t trying to let loose or anything it just happened. that’s when i knew this was different and i wanted to take the chance with her. i love many things about her but at the top of my list definitely has to be her smile. i never get tired of seeing it especially her dimple. she’s also extremely funny so we’re always laughing. i adore how she can take something serious and make it into a lighthearted joke, she’s so sweet and seeing her interact with others especially babies or animals is one of my favorite things in the world. she’s so gentle and caring i believe that she really is an angel on earth. one last thing that means the world to me is when i first realized i was part mermaid and was terrified of what was to come, even though didnt know what to do, she she stayed with me and we talked and laughed like nothing had changed. it made me feel like if the world was ending all i’d have to do was look at sarah and i’d feel okay.

OMG 😭 i was watching a tiktok about scenarios to script and it made me realize i had a dream last night about leaving love notes for thomas around our home. i had completely forgot about this until one of the scenarios mentioned loves notes. i remember getting the paper and pen from a desk and i think he was getting ready for work and i wanted to slip one of the notes in a book of his before he left :(

i write girl, so confusing by charli xcx for my sixth album, blackout, but i have no idea who i’m working it out on the remix with cause i don’t like beef. i’m guessing it’ll be about the media trying to pit me and one of my friends against each other? we obviously don’t care cause that’s lame but a song about it is definitely a need. the song is just sitting in my script like “girl, so confusing (feat. ???)” 😭

i have MANY hopes and dreams but a few of my main ones are writing, directing, and producing my own movie, play, or musical, meeting taylor swift, shania twain, and beyoncé, but being on broadway is at the absolute top of my list. i fell in love with theatre and acting the first time my family and i went to see wicked on broadway when i was four, it was an absolute dream come true that i didn’t even know i’d dreamt of. after that night i, along with my siblings help, put plays together for my family almost every night after dinner. i love television and movies but broadway is at the top of my list because it sparked my dream of acting and i feel like it would be a full-circle moment to be on the stage looking into the crowd and see my family’s faces.

my first impression of thomas was that he had such beautiful eyes, was shy, but incredibly nice and funny. i’d never met him in person before my best friends birthday party but i’d been obsessed with smallville since the first episode so i immediately knew who he was. his first impression of me had him a little starstruck that’s why he was a little shy around me because he’d had a little (HUGE 🤭) celebrity crush on me for a while. he thought i was really funny, beautiful, sarcastic, and someone he’d like to know more about. i don’t think our impressions of each other really changed much besides his shyness around me.

the biggest thing i had to sacrifice for my dreams was a normal school experience. the only normal experiences were from pre-k to around second grade. i started getting more roles after second grade so i wasn’t able to attend school. i was still enrolled in school so i could go back when i had time but i was usually doing school work between scenes with the teachers on set, on days off, or on the plane back home. i skipped two grades (3rd & 4th) because i’m very smart and would exceed all the tests and assignments, so that also took away more from the normalcy because even when i would attend school i didn’t know many people because they were older than me. i’m actually very glad i did this though because it allowed me to graduate earlier and get an associates degree in psychology at 18. it wasn’t easy at all but i’d choose to live out my dreams every time rather than a regular school experience.

i don’t have any magic powers or abilities in this reality but now that i’m thinking about it i might script for another fame reality and have abilities there i think that’d be so cool 🤭

definitely thomas. when we first met i felt it was the easiest thing to be myself around him. it’s odd because i’ve never felt that way with someone and we clicked almost instantly. when i’m worried about something he usually offers to talk about things first and if i’m not wanting to talk he gives me space or we do something together to distract me. stress baking or cooking is one of the many things we do to distract ourselves from worries and most of the time it cheers me up, but if it doesn’t, we’re definitely binge watching a tv show stuffing our faces with the food we just made. while i have social anxiety, i’ve managed to really control it when around the right people, but i still have flare ups. if i’m feeling anxious about an event or just interacting with lots of people like at the met gala or an award show, thomas always reassures me that i’ll be ok. he’s the type to get up and dance at awards shows during performances while i’m sitting there hoping i don’t draw more attention to myself then needed 😭 but he’s really helped me break free from that.

my family brings SO much light and hope into my life. they’re my biggest supporters since day one and are at most of my shows, events, etc to cheer me on. i adore them all so much and i’m so lucky to have grown up with the childhood i did and have the close relationships i do with my family. i’ve always looked up to my mother and how she carries herself and handles situations. she’s hilarious, witty, smart, sweet, beautiful, kind, ambitious, and compassionate. she’s all the things i am and strive to be to the fullest. my whole life she’s been my role model and i hope to be as respected and looked up to as she is by others such as my fans, friends, family, and future children.
