A condition characterized by fear and aversion to change, when your neighborhood, home, and life before, all gone and reduced to rubble?

I have been corresponding with Duaa, her son Omar is 5 years old and in dire condition, he is autistic and needs treatment due to the trauma of the bombing and missiles. Their family is still in Gaza in horrific conditions under threat of disease and death, Duaa's father had a stroke due to the unrelenting stress and is unable to get treatment. She and Omar were able to escape to Egypt but she cannot work as Egypt requires them to have a permit.

These past few days, I have had a mother constantly contact, scared witless for the fate of her child. Read below to follow her story.

This woman's name is Doaa Jadalhaq, who has a son called Omar, who is just FIVE years old and is autistic and nonverbal. Before the war, he would lovingly interact with everything around him but, amidst the war, he CRIED and SCREAMED everyday as bombs were being dropped everywhere around him. Through exceptional circumstances, the mother and child left Gaza to Egypt, but the rest of the family is still stuck in Gaza, with Doaa's father in hospital from a STROKE. In Egypt, Omar requires EXPENSIVE weekly treatment and funding for a special school because of his autism to regain the social development he had before the war.

Therefore, this family requires kr300,000 for treatment for Omar and funds for the evacuation of the rest of the family in Gaza.

Doaa ( @doaaomar123 ) is the mother of a 5 year old boy named Omar. Omar is autistic and nonverbal and has been severely traumatized by the bombings he and his mother lived through. He is in shock and struggling to cope with the horrors he's been forced to endure at such a young age. Every day he screams and cries from the memories of the sounds of bombs and gunfire that continue to haunt him.

Watching her son's mental health deteriorate has been unbearable for Doaa. She is trying to get Omar the help and resources he needs, but treatment is expensive. She needs support to afford therapy and enroll Omar in a school that can meet his educational needs.

She is struggling to provide enough milk, diapers, medicine, and vitamins for her son. She also fears for Youssef's health because of the unsanitary conditions in their camp. The tent they live in is next to a dilapidated public toilet where sewage, dirt and waste is everywhere, putting her family at greater risk of contracting deadly diseases.
