Ever since I ate this a few months ago, I've been obsessed with this place, but whenever I try to go back, they've sold out and closed early! And apparently this has been the deal there since like 1977.
This is the wonton ramen, which comes with 6 wontons (3 each of shrimp and pork), charsiu pork, and a sheet of nori. The pork is seasoned Chinese style and it's flavorful and juicy, and the noodles are perfect. Their wontons are glorious and generously filled and they look like big beautiful goldfish.
The portions are huge though, so next time (if I ever get a next time!!), I'm gonna get wonton soup without noodles. Which would be 10 wontons but less of a carb crash. But apparently their gyoza are amazing too, so maybe I'll have to convince someone to come with me and split them. Or do we think I can take down 10 wontons and 6 gyoza? I wish more places here did takeout......
