#the sentiment is there but not exactly accurate#the post leaves out the tariffs of 1890 which were spearheaded by trump's hero william mckinley#and were i would argue more comparable to today's tariffs#also smoot-hawley didn't cause the great depression; that was already happening#smoot-hawley just made the depression substantially worse#but something to note is that conservative isolationist policies (including tariffs)#have never ever helped this country and yet here we are doing the same thing over and over because nobody fucking learns anything#us history#us politics

I personally see myself as being judged as not good queer rep, as aroace who dates, "feminine" trans, "emotionless" trope, alien/robot/outsider coded, etc.

This poll is because i am often thinking about characters that are considered bad rep, but I know people in real life are LIKE THAT and identity is messy! In my opnion bad queer rep would be the ones that are shown or touched upon on screen. Idk, just wondering.

I hate the phrase "don't let a shitty person/fandom prevent you from interacting with [book/movie/tv show]!" because why on earth would I want to interact with something that I've already had a bad experience with lol

It's worse when you enjoyed something but can't enjoy it anymore because garbage people ruined that for you, too. "Just ignore them!" I literally can't, thanks for your unsolicited opinion.
