After a ton of stressing, I'm finally done with taxes woohoo!!! 🎉 And as a bonus, I've edited my merch spreadsheet to make inventory valuation so much easier in the future lol, it had me caught up for daaayyys.

I'm so relieved I got them done before April like I wanted, and the owed amount is much more affordable than previous years so it'll be a lot less stress paying it off.

The rest of this week, I'll be focused on commissions and art rewards and prioritizing those with upcoming deadlines! Next week I'll be mostly taking off from work.

My commissions will remain open with unlimited slots for the foreseeable future, and I'll be offering another shop sale to help cover March rent and to gather a bit of spending money for a friend's visit this upcoming week. A moving fundraiser is also in the works for a move planned in July/August - so if you've been wanting to support my art, these next few months will be the most crucial time to do so! I have hopes to do some exciting things for the fundraiser especially.

disability advocacy went wrong when it became about inspiration porn and “differently abled” and savants. its incredible that that guy with no legs did a triathlon but your sister with no legs will not and she doesnt need prosthetics or five hour training days to deserve respect and compassion and accommodations. its incredible that that autistic guy can look at a city from a helicopter for an hour and then draw the entire detailed skyline from memory when he lands but your autistic friend cannot and they dont need to have a special Autism Power to deserve respect and compassion and accommodations.

activism framed around “we are just as CAPABLE” means that when people genuinely are less capable they are left behind. activism framed around “we are just as WORTHY” is fundamental to radical compassion.

This and one step further.

“Every disabled person has SOMETHING to contribute!”

We do not. Not all of us.

Those with nothing to offer have value and should be provided for anyway.

8. how many water bottles are in your room right now?

None, I don't use water bottles. Just mugs, and I have just the one! I'm very adamant about cleaning up cups and mugs.

43. what’s your take on spicy foods?

I love them as long as the spice is at a level that adds to the flavor instead of totally covers it. Tikki masala is especially delicious when it's just spicy enough to make your nose run a little. I love mango with tajin and spicy chili.

2. lighter or matches?

I don't use them often, but I prefer lighters

29. how do you like your shower water?

I like cooling off on hot days or waking up in the morning with lukewarm water

49. can you skip rocks?

I've not had many opportunities to try, when I was younger I could skip a rock once or twice and I don't think I'd be better at it if I tried now

Tutorial on drawing characters/OCs who have some sort of facial paralysis. It doesn't cover all possible variants because I was using mirror as my main reference lawl

Keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People 👍

Consider supporting me on ko-fi if you find this to be helpful.

I just found out two local gay artists were found murdered in their home. fuck. jesus. I knew these guys. I own their art. I've attended so many gallery openings at their shop. they've meant so much to the community here. and they're just fucking gone? just like that?

and of course the cops are claiming it's not a hate crime.

what a fucking cruel reminder that we can't ever trust that we're safe, not even in a historic gay neighborhood in a liberal city in a blue state. Mickey and Jordan, you won't be forgotten. I'm sorry.

hi all. I'm making this post rebloggable again to add the gofundmes set up for Mickey and Jordan's funeral costs. They've raised a lot already, which I think is a real testament to how loved they were by so many people. Mickey's brother, who organized his fundraiser, has said whatever is left over will go to causes that were close to their hearts.

Thank you. It's important that we remember them as friends, activists, and artists.

You can find Mickey Harmon's artwork at his personal website or at The Good Stuff, the shop and gallery he co-owned. Just note that if you purchase from them, they won't be shipping orders again until March 19.

One of his most well known pieces is the LGBT history mural on Allen Street in Buffalo.

Jordan Celotto was an artist and DJ, who frequently dj'd for events at local queer and alt venues. It's hard to find his artwork online, but I did find this lovely buffalo that he drew for Hallwalls, a local live drawing rally.

Their talents and their kindness will be missed.

ppl will post butch positivity with like 5 allusions to transmasculitity (binding, t, top surgery, etc) and 0 mentions of transfem butches

i love you butches on estrogen! i love you butches who feel caught between expressing yourself as a woman and as a butch because of transmisogyny! i love you butches who want/have bottom surgery! i love you butches who don’t! i love you butches who feel like butch is your gender and i love you butches who feel like butch is your sexuality!

i love you transfem butches! i love you trans women butches! i love you butches!

Hello fellow artist

Sorry to bother but if you'd be so kind as to help me and my family out. Due to financial issues, we are currently homeless and practically living in our car. If possible to donate even a small amount or share this message and link so that it can reach more people and we can be okay

Please and thank you 🙏🏽

I'm unfortunately not in a position to donate, but I hope that sharing this helps out even a little. I've been in rougher spots like this before so I know how it feels. Good luck to you and your family!
