the sooner we economically cripple nintendo's ability to develop consoles the better. we need to sega-ify nintendo. without console exclusivity they will lose the leverage that allows them to inflate the market and implement disastrously anti-preservation drm. additionally, without wasting time developing underpowered consoles with gimmicks that haven't been fresh for a decade they will have much more time to develop good games which will need to compete with many more releases for other consoles.

it's actually hard to see nintendo's business decisions and legal actions as anything besides the greed-inspired flailings of a company that realized it can only maintain a modicum of popular and economic relevance by maintaining the artificial exclusivity and scarcity of their games + inflating the market
remember when nintendo was the first to push new games up to 70 dollars and now they're maintaining the precedent by pushing new games up to 80, 90 if you want a license file on a plastic card that unlocks a digital version of the game you physically purchased. and nintendo adults will still waste all their money on the switch 2
