Carbuncle Shenanigans Ahoy!
Welcome to the blog, here is your friendly neighborhood pinned post for easy reference! This is primarily a blog for Final Fantasy XIV but also includes whatever else your hostess enjoys; an aggressive tagging policy is in effect for both my own cataloging purposes and others’ blacklist needs.
But since you’re likely here for FFXIV and possibly my own characters, without further ado:
The Squad of Light:
Synnove Greywolfe: Ala Mhigan Highlander arcanist, Vice Chair of the Arcanists’ Guild Aetherophysics Department, Breaker of Physics and Mother of Carbuncles (five of ‘em!). Married to SCIENCE! and also in a committed relationship with Ser Aymeric de Borel. FFXIV main and receiver of the lion’s share of attention on this blog.
Rereha Reha: Dunesfolk bard (FFXIV in terms of mechanics, D&D in terms of stereotypes), Ul’dahn socialite by birth and utterly lacking in shame. (“What’s ‘shame?’ Can you eat it?”) An excuse to insert some levity into MSQ via Shenanigans and to lean on the fourth wall. If she’s being serious, start running, because shit's probably gotten real.
Dancing Heron: Hellsguard paladin mercenary, the Actual Adult/Mom Friend of the group, stress knitter, and a woman who deserves a vacation to a sunny beach with lots of free margaritas for putting up with these three lunatics she calls sisters. Generally the reason the Squad (mostly) stays on track with a minimum of collateral damage.
Alakhai Noykin: Xaela rogue (in the Upright Thievery way), Stabber of Kidneys and Other Squishy Bits; Behold the Field in Which She Grows Her Fucks and See That It Is Barren. She’s here to enable Synnove and Rereha’s bullshit and pretend Heron’s ‘I’m Not Mad, I’m Just Disappointed’ face doesn’t work on her. (It totally does.)
