Drawing Every Utau! (Eventually)

HELLO AND WELCOME, THIS IS DRAWING EVERY UTAU (eventually)!!!

It's what it says on the tin, I plan to (eventually) draw art for every UTAU voicebank that is publicly available in one form or another (i.e. if say they're on the Internet Archive, like Iku or the Windows 100% UTAU, they're fair game). This is also kinda just my sideblog to ramble and post about UTAU so my main and art blog don't get clogged up with it lmao.

"How exactly do you plan to even FIND every UTAU out there?"

Admittedly I don't have a clean method, currently I'm just going off the voicebanks listed on the UTAU wikis, which I know isn't completely accurate At All, but that's the best I got. If you know an UTAU that's not listed on either wiki, feel free to tell me!

Do not expect daily activity from me, this is just a silly hobby I'm doing.

Sure! You can also feel free to request art of an UTAU I've drawn before, but only if you have like, an actual idea for them to be Doing something, y'know? I'm not gonna draw 5 Tetos in a row unless you spice it up.

"Can we request art of our own UTAUs???"

If you have your own UTAU voicebanks, absolutely! Just remember I'm only doing reqs of publicly available ones, so if your UTAU is completely private then I won't be taking your request.

"Can we request art of non-UTAU voicebanks? Like Vocaloid or SynthV?"

No.

"Why?"

The blog's called "Drawing every UTAU", not "Drawing every vocal synth in existence".

"Why are you doing this to begin with?"

Because I'm passionate about UTAU! I love vocal synths in general, but UTAU especially for being so accessible and diverse! I love how many characters there are, how many voice banks there are, the varying qualities; this is just something you couldn't get in Vocaloid or SynthV! I still like Vocaloid and SynthV btw, I'm not bashing them, it's just that since UTAU's ostensibly free it's the one I've become hyper fixated on lol.

Added notes about UTAUs I won't draw: Link TLDR: Derivative characters that don't have independent vbs, characters with racist/orientalist designs, and Oniko due to the politics around her making me uncomfortable.

I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ASK HI I don't got a lot abt Hito themself, but I think it'd be fun to say some stuff abt Vampires in UTAU :3c

Hito's a crabby bitch who works at a book store, they're pleasant enough normally but gets annoyed really quickly and is bad at hiding it. Somehow has the ability to just Tell when someone's a vampire (or even just partially one), so when any new ones move into the community they're usually the first person to greet them. Also they and Souta are mortal enemies (one-sided) bc Souta's a fudanshi and his apartment doesn't allow package drop-offs so he has to have all of his online manga orders shipped to the book store and Hito HATES it, but they can't do anything about it bc they're just a clerk lmao

As for Vampires, just in general, they can drink any kind of blood to satiate themselves, so animal's blood from the store works fine. They don't have physical wings, but can form ones from magic energy, but they also Don't Need wings to be able to fly it's kinda just for show which is why most don't bother. Also for some reason vampire eye colors are like, Hyper Dominant, which means if you have 1 vampire parents you Will have their eye color; it even trumps conditions that'd normally affect eye colors too (ex. albinism)

Ted's a little bitch /silly

TFYVBUINK He had been a laughing stock in the scientific field for several years, and Teto was his first experiment that actually got him any acclaim. He was extremely protective and controlling over her as a result, and rarely ever let her out of his sight; he'd also have a tendency of quashing any sort of rebelliousness out of her with various means, though usually he'd use a shock collar. Needless to say he didn't really see Teto as a person, and also assumed that since she wasn't human (literally) that she just, didn't really have feelings? He'd leave her malnourished, partially intentionally so she'd stay small, but mostly out of ignorance (tbf chimera aren't exactly common, any others that exist are undocumented and probably function differently from Teto)

Ted's death was actually witnessed by a couple people.. Meiko and Renri specifically; is was an altercation, or maybe an intervention, to try and get Teto away from him and he wound up pulling a gun on them. When authorities arrived, his body could only be identified via DNA tests, lol.

OH ALSO Ted's not his real name, it's a fake name to hide from the government bc his experiments weren't exactly, uh, legal, or ethical, but that might be obvious.

Nyess, I got some~ Though a good chunk also involves her siblings

First off is that she and her family are no longer associated/on speaking terms with the company that created them. It was a small, indie company that started trying to make singing robots, but they never got the popularity or renown of a company like the one who made Ritsu, bc their robots' singing was super robotic and kinda muffled. The workplace culture of the company was one of those "we're a small company and we're a big happy family :)" but were actually hell to work for situations; which ofc extended to the way they treated the robots. The place went under after the robots cut ties and ran away.

FOR UTA HERSELF, she and Teto were brought into singing around the same time, and they became close friends; but then Teto got taken in the sing for SynthV, which meant she moved away, and Uta felt extremely betrayed, and that mixed with the treatment by her creators made her extremely cynical for a while. Current day, she's chilled out a lot; level-headed, blunt, tends to be the straight-man in a lot of situations though has her moments of playfulness. The main person all the robot UTAU go to for a tune-up/repairs (barring Ritsu, she has built-in tamper protection that prevents anyone but her manufacturers from repairing her). Extra fun fact: Her skin is grey bc it's metal, her creators just painted the skin of their robots instead of making a proper casing. Her skin paint wore away with time and she never bothered reapplying it.

NOTES: The creators on the robot UTAUs in my AU are not representative of the people who actually made/manage them (Ameya, Cannon, etc.) And in the AU Teto was taken into SynthV when she was around 16 ("current day" she's like, 31-35).

Originally released July 10th, 2009; Aiko's an tomboyish and belligerent young woman who hates being vulnerable with people. She's loud and proud and has a bit of a temper, and a pretty bad attention span. Aiko loves tall places, and such enjoys riding in flying vehicles or looking out from a landing deck or tall building.

Originally released May 29th, 2024; Akeshi's an archetypal chuunibyou (lit. Middle School 2nd Year Syndrome)... Except he's actually a vampire! He was originally turned at 14 years old, and has lived an unknowable amount of years stuck like that. Despite this (or maybe because of it), no one takes him seriously.

Tsukishiro Hakupo! Voiced and Managed by Hakua Tsukishiro!

Originally released May 8th, 2010; Hakupo is a very optimistic and friendly guy, and has an almost stereotypical "moe" personality. He loves to sing and often Tweets out song lyrics (via Twitter bot). His favorite food is takoyaki and his favorite subject is health/physical fitness.
