Tinglepost 367: Journalist Pounded By The Physical Manifestation Of An Egregiously Mishandled Group Text From Members Of The Tromp Administration Containing Highly Sensitive Government Information

First off, many thanks to @kuraness and another anonymous bud for giving me some funds to get back on the Chuck Tingle patreon. Money is tight for me right now and it means a lot to keep that little bit of joy in my life!!

So, clearly, I was hyped for it as soon as I saw the title of this tingler. It's so fun to enjoy current events tinglers in the moment. I haven't really been expecting a lot of them- hell, when I had the opportunity I even asked Dr. Tingle about his plans for political tinglers in 2025 and he understandably said he wasn't planning to get back into them so much.

But... this situation is just too perfect for a tingler. It doesn't even need that much embellishment to fit into the Tingleverse. It's already suitably absurd. That means that the tingler's focus can be less on creating its own version of the events, and more on the emotional context surrounding it.

This story isn't one created in spite of Dr. Tingle's aforementioned lack of interest in returning to the political tingler writing of 2016-2020. No, that context is a deeply entrenched part of it. The political news these days is a constant fresh torrent of absurdity, and covering it all is beyond the scope of even the world's greatest author. Still, here's an outstanding event that can even cut through that overwhelming flow and stand out. That is both the overarching tone, and a subject of this tingler.

This is what I love about current events tinglers. They don't just capture the event itself. They capture the emotions of the time. When I read an old one, it brings me back to how that moment felt. When I read a new one, it feels like talking with a good friend about that thing we're all talking about, and having a good laugh about it.

The end of this tingler very explicitly addresses Dr. Tingle's feelings in this moment, but even if it didn't, they show throughout the story. It's the release of emotion that comes from having an event like this to latch on to, the commentary and the erotica alike are a beautiful catharsis from all the news we've been beaten down by lately.

Jeff is the head editor at Atlantica Magazine, but he hasn’t been writing much. The Tromp administration is hard to get a beat on, throwing out so much absurdity that it feels like nothing even matters anymore. He wants a story that will make a difference, and it’s not as if those just fall into your lap. But when Jeff’s phone suddenly buzzes with a new text message, that’s exactly what happens. Now Jeff is privy to a chat thread of top-secret information from Tromp’s under-qualified, highly-ignorant inner circle, and it’s looking like a real story. It’s also looking like a total hunk. Soon enough, Jeff and the physical manifestation of this egregiously handled group text containing highly sensitive government information are locked in the heat of gay, erotic passion, and he’s about to pound out a story that he never could’ve imagined. This erotic tale is 4,100 words of sizzling human on gay physically manifested leaked text action, including anal, blowjobs, rough sex, and living group chat love.

Hi dr tingle, I just finished Bury Your Gays and dearly enjoyed it. Many cases of raising my head and staring into the distance a little as I processed The Reference -- and many I didn't, and am only getting now by reading your and readers' comments on it. However, there is one bit I remain utterly confused about. Was there anything particular to get behind the angry woman hot tub scene at Blossom's birthday? Or was that just a truly random bit to hammer in the surreal feel of that party?

this is a GREAT question and i appreciate it very much because it is not a spoiler trot at all and sometimes i just CANNOT ANWSER THESE DANG ASKS because they are about something that happens at the end of the book

so early in BURY YOUR GAYS there is a mansion party scene and the party itself is important for a few reasons. there are various character moments happening here and it leads to am important interaction with misha being filmed kissing zeke and ALSO i will say, there is something mentioned in this scene that directly ties to a book that will comes out in... three dang years i think? HOWEVER this is also a part of the book where you can just take a moment to SET THE STAGE of your novel. we are just building tone

i wanted to capture the feel of a very specific kind of hollywood party that is just PLAIN WEIRD. lots of entertainment industry folks but also these wealthy kind of invester types and then trust fund buckaroos all in this odd melting pot. in my trots around the country as a young buckaroo i went to a few of these parties and the funniest thing that i remember happening is exactly what happens in the book.

i trotted outside and all the ladybucks were standing around the hot tub looking annoyed, and there was one man in there half submerged. and one of the ladybucks came up to me and asked if i could make him leave because he had taken it upon himself to turn the temperature all the way down. so i approached this strange man and he said 'i made it isolation tank temperature so i could float'

so honestly, that particular moment is mostly there because it is a true story and i thought it shows how strange those sort of ultra wealthy hollywood mansion parties are

you CAN write about whatever you want, but buckaroos can also tell you to heck off if you use this power irresponsibility. there is freedom of expression, not freedom from consequences. this is a nice little article from POPVERSE very cool thanks for writing
