2025 BAHRAIN Qualifying : P2

GR: You know, it's Q2, run one, it'd be pretty ridiculous to be penalized for this, but then again... there are stranger things that happen in this sport... If you get a €20k fine because you're on the toilet, who knows.

Harry Benjamin, who's filled in for David Croft a few times on Sky F1, does the BBC Radio 5 Live commentary. He was playing padel in Australia, down at Port Melbourne, I think, and he regaled this story to me over the weekend. Max and Daniel were playing padel on the court next to them. And because Daniel was around for his Enchante store launch, anyway, Rosanna and a whole bunch of other people from BBC were playing. Then they came over after they finished their game and Rosanna knows Daniel pretty well and they exchanged pleasantries. Then Harry said, "Daniel, you coming to the track?" He was like, "Nope. Nope!" Apparently [he] couldn't wait to get out of there. And then when he left said, "See you in the next life!" So Harry's like, I think that's a resounding full stop on DR's Formula 1 career.

Lawson is still slowson [i don't like him so]

Yuki didn't perform miracles. [2nd seat curse pls continue. RBR pls burn]

Life is good.

Plucked only George's answers from the transcript on the FIA website. There's some interesting bits about knowing Toto always has his back, not looking for external validation (from social media or the press), being confident in his abilities, not stressing over contract negotiations and enjoying his time in the sport.
