It's Thylacine Day.
88 years ago the last known thylacine passed away in Hobart Zoo, marking the species' extinction.
The Pink and White girl!
I actually found this lady eaaaaarly in my thrifting days. A pink haired curvy Barbie? Hellz yeah! I've held onto her for a long time, but now it's time she bring someone else some joy.
So she's been spruced up and is ready to go forth with her little pink friend! I'm particularly happy with her sparkling sequin hat that I forced my eldest sister to make while she was visiting--my eldest sister is the master at crochet.
I had precious (pun) fabric left over from another projectโand LotR fabric is rare and kinda pricey and I actually bought it from a seller (not thrifted)โno way I was just gonna toss the scraps!
And for this lady my sister had come to visit, so I had her make this lady an awesome hat. I left what kind up to her, and to my delight she went wizard! So I shaped the rest of her look around the hat. That was fun!
So here we have a Brown Wizard-y Lord of the Rings fan, ready to go on an adventure.

I think my brain has been trying to fix the awful mistake Disney made when they made the live action Beauty and the Beast film. That ballgown...blasphemy. Thus far whenever the gown shows up on one of my thrift-ings, I do my best to re-work it.
This is my most successful version yet! It was a bit of a pain to deconstruct it in order to add sleeves, but it was worth it.
She is now an Enchanted Christmas Belle. Much more better.
Sheโs really in love, and Saxon doesnโt understand that. Heโs always laughing or scoffing at that those things, but he watches her actually run off into the sunset and jump into Rickโs arms. They have this moment, forehead to forehead, and he thinks, "Wow. Maybe this is what I want."

I had a precious scrap of Grogu fabric--found in a Goodwill bundle of course. At first I was just gonna make a Mandalorian fan-themed gown. But I got like halfway thru making that and I was so boooooored. (It was weak, so I destroyed it.) Did a 180, and went with a more urban look. Much much better.
