Hi there! Welcome to the Duke Fan HQ!

Here's some helpful links for mobile users:

Some other bat-blogs I run:

Main/Gen DC Hub | Girl!Robins | Bat-Gals | Oracle!Babs Day

And a few PSAs:

  • I host a very small, Duke-centric Discord server (known as The Hatch). If small discords are your jam, plz dm me or send a not-anonymous ask for a link!
  • My main inbox got overwhelmed with headcanons so I started @dukethomasheadcanons to help with that. I don't quite have the editing skills or the time to publish all of the wonderful asks that have been sent over time, however, and I'm looking to pass the baton. Plz dm me if interested!
  • Duke Week 2024 will be here before we know it! Info & themes for the Weeks of the past can be found here! Keep an eye out for further announcements!

Thanks visitors & followers alike for taking some time to learn about one of my bat-blorbos of all time! :D

Gotham baddies thinking they have the day to plot just for Duke to show up is so funny like wow batman got a dayshifter

That’s what makes him so terrifying, so complementary to Batman. The dread of daylight, that it isn’t purifying or protective, that it is sharp and bright and unyielding.

When Midsommar was about to come out so many horror fans were making fun of the idea of a daytime horror movie. But if you watch it, the daytime scenes are some of the scariest! The light brings everything into focus. You long for the safety of darkness and the shadows that our brains want us to crawl into.

In short: daytime is TERRIFYING, and Duke routinely makes people shit their pants when they realize he isn’t bound to the shadows like the other Bats.
