no one irl actually knows that i read/write "straight smut" (maybe just a couple of people but they read it too) so i've never been personally told such things, but i did see those kind of comments on the internet though.

i don't get the deal either. to me, if you enjoy reading/writing it (whatever kind it may be) then you do you. everyone has their own preferences, there's no need to think whatever you like is "better" than what others prefer, right?
