The match with Inarizaki is taking damn too long. I can’t wait for the match with Nekoma to start. 

Finished: Ballroom e Youkoso

Yesterday, I was browsing for good sports animes dahil I can’t seem to get over Haikyuu. Pailang ulit ko na pinanuod and hindi pa rin ako nagsasawa kaya I decided to look for another anime to watch and there I found: Ballroom e Youkoso (Welcome to Ballroom) 

I got intrigued because this type of sports anime isn’t like usual. And ayun na nga, first episode pa lang I was a goner. First few seconds of the first episode and I was already smiling thinking “This anime looks promising” so I continued and it was SO GOOD I watched all 24 episodes til dawn! 

I’m not good at putting my thoughts into words but this is what I think of the anime:

There were a lot of things I loved. First was the animation. They drew the characters so beautifully and the dancing, they made it so mesmerizing. At one point I found it weird how the characters had long necks but I figured, it was to emphasize their posture. Second, I loved the story of how Tatara, who was shy and clueless of what he wanted to do in the future, came to know of dancing and became so passionate about it, how he became partners with Chinatsu and overcoming their differences. He had no goals in life until he met Sengoku and with this I can kind of relate.

I also love how the anime showed us the story of the other couples: Hanaoka and Hyodo, Gaju and Mako and how later on they became friends with Tatara and how each one of them made a significant change in him. 

AND SYEMPRE! Makakalimutan ko ba ang favorite character kong si Kiyoharu Hyodo (No use denying it, I LOVE HYODO!) 

Going back, I had so much fun watching this anime I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about it when it came out. I think not many people knows about this gem and it’s sad because it deserves a lot of attention. I was satisfied with the ending but as always, I’m a greedy person I WANT MORE! And I am definitely hoping for a Season 2. 

I also read the manga and unfortunately for me, it’s still ongoing so I stopped at chapter 55, which ended in a cliffhanger. 

It went under a long hiatus so because of the author’s health issues but they resumed and according to the author, Takeuchi-sensei, they just released the December issue last Nov. 5 so I am really looking forward to reading the new chapters. 

All in all, I’d say watching Ballroom e Youkoso was a great experience! I got to learn that these kinds of sports also exists. It’s a 10/10 anime and would strongly recommend others to watch it. 

Finished reading: Noblesse

such I just finished reading Noblesse a.k.a the greatest webtoon I’ve ever read. And as soon as I finished, I came here to write down my thoughts but please beware of spoilers if you haven’t finished reading it yet.

So here are my thoughts. 

I didn’t want Raizel to die but I was expecting it to happen. The whole story indicated that Raizel has little time left and after defeating countless of opponents and using his powers, he’s on his last bits of vitality. Stopping the nuclear missile would mean death for him because he has exhausted his life force already. Plus, Muzaka and Raizel having their moment while waiting for the missile to means they’ll die. 

The epilogue was a huge cliffhanger and I’m sure everyone who has read it shares the same opinion. I was happy and relieved to see that Rai was alive at the end however, I also so confused! How did Rai, Muzaka, Lascrea and co. survive? Even Frankenstein was confused lol. I can understand Lascrea and co. surviving because unlike Raizel, they were pretty much healthy and unscathed before taking on the missile. 

AND! I was also confused why Franky resigned as chairman of the school if Rai was alive. I’m happy for Tao being chairman though. He looked so happy lol. Why was Frankenstein with the Third Elder? Is he part of the Union now? But he still referred to Rai as his ‘Master’ 

I stopped reading this webtoon but I read it again so I could get answers but I was only left with a lot of questions when I finished. I wont be able to sleep thinking about how it all ended. 

Anyway, now I’m onto the next webtoon on my list: God of Highschool. 

Regardless of how it ended, I can still say that Noblesse was such a great read. Those sleepless nights where I binge read it were so worth it.
