Feeling rough lately.

There's a quote from the AIDS epidemic I keep saying to myself, "Bury your friends in the morning, protest in the afternoon, and Dance all Night"

Don't feel guilty for creating beauty, for having moments where you laugh and feel good while the world falls apart around you. Because being miserable and consumed with the bad does no one any good. Dance all night to give yourself strength to bury your friends in the morning.

We will persevere. We will survive. And when it feels like you can't take another step, I'll hold your hand and take it with you.

hey folks if you have an android phone: google shadow installed a "security app".

I had to go and delete it myself this morning.

And several others as well. Clear data, disable, uninstall if you can.

In case anyone else is having the same problem-- When I searched this in the usual list of apps, it didn't show up-- I had to click the link above to open it in the app store, and THEN I could uninstall it.

Fyi, if you have a Pixel phone, check out the GrapheneOS project. It's an open-source, nonprofit fork of Android focused on privacy and security hardening - in fact Google frequently takes security enhancements from Graphene to integrate into the official Android OS.

And it's completely Google-free by default! It is really easy to install google apps if you want them, but even then, Graphene gives you complete control over their permissions just like any other app (unlike on regular Android phones where every Google app has deep systemwide integration). So on Graphene, this "SafetyCore" sort of thing just literally couldn't happen.

the thing about having long hair especially if you are a girl/perceived as one is people act like they will be personally offended if you cut it. INCLUDING! hair stylists who you are paying to cut it. double it if you have blonde/red/ginger/curly/etc hair. like the lack of autonomy ive been allowed to feel about my hair, even when its subtle still has me afraid to go to the stylist and ask for the haircut im paying to get.
